Today is National Intern Day and we are so proud of our Hallmark interns this year. The program looked a little different with most of our interns working remotely but they’ve accomplished big things. AN OVERVIEW:
The Structural Engineer provides the right individual the opportunity to take ownership of systems within the structural discipline and influence the strategy from design of new structures to maintenance of older and established structures across all our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess: Strong structural systems knowledge; restoration and water infiltration protection of structures; cathodic protection systems; roofing systems; codes and regulatory issues; provide excellent customer service to our internal business partners, and work well with a team of Engineers Architects, and Project Managers committed to balancing cost and quality while maintaining one of the most renowned complexes in Kansas City.

WHO WE ARE:
Crown Center Redevelopment Corporation (CCRC) is a subsidiary of Hallmark Cards Inc. that is responsible for providing Corporate Facilities Management at Crown Center, Hallmark and its Subsidiaries. Responsibilities include: Monitoring and recommending infrastructure improvements; developing repair strategies; and project management services.

THE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:
This position is for a licensed Structural Engineer that will provide technical expertise to evaluate and determine engineering design, and operation and maintenance of facilities for Hallmark, Crown Center and subsidiary facility related projects. They will also provide project management oversight and direction through on-site participation and direction of external design and construction services. The Structural Engineer will also require a committed effort to managing cost and quality of projects, while protecting Hallmark's interest through strong project and contract administration.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
The following is required to be considered for this role:
Bachelor's of Science in Civil or Architectural Engineering
Professional Engineering Registration in state of Missouri or Kansas, or in other state that is eligible for reciprocity with Missouri and Kansas Boards of Professional Engineers.
Ten Years experience in design and / or construction of structural systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Your resume and portfolio/application will stand out if you have:

Proficient in MS Office Suite and ACAD
Served in a customer facing / customer service role as an engineer / technical resource.
Graduate degree in engineering or Business Administration / Management
Experience working with Kansas City Planning & Development
Working knowledge of AIA Specification Documents
Knowledge of cathodic protection systems and uses
Knowledge of restoration techniques on existing structures
Knowledge of methods to address water infiltration
Knowledge of roofing systems and repairs
Five Years of experience in facilities management
Behavioral Skills: Integrity & trust; strong interpersonal savvy; organizational agility; composure; sense of urgency
