Your $20 matters to Joe and Kelley.

In Missouri, a couple named Joe and Kelley were working to reunify with their children who had been placed temporarily in foster care. Before the kids could safely return to their care, the couple needed extensive repairs and work done on their home. The family’s case worker submitted a request for help in our connecting technology platform, CarePortal, and a local Community Champion responded with the funds to cover everything that was needed.

You can help facilitate connections that enable churches to take action for families just like Joe and Kelley’s by making an end-of-year donation to GO Project. Learn more and give today (Link in bio).

Your $20 matters to Satish.

In India, a young man named Satish had his life turned upside down after he was diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. He experienced stigma and discrimination from members of his family and the community, and since no treatment services were available in his village, he traveled to Hyderabad and ended up in the care of our local partner, Bethel Gospel Church. The church embraced Satish and provided him with the critical services and support he needed.

You can equip our church partners to lift up and instill purpose in youth just like Satish by making an end-of-year donation to GO Project. Learn more and give today: https://bit.ly/goproject-20years

Your $20 matters to Frank.

In Uganda, a young man named Frank was at a difficult crossroads following the sudden passing of his mother. The responsibility was placed upon Frank’s 19-year-old shoulders to care for him and his 3 younger siblings. Our local church partner was alerted to his family’s situation and they invited Frank to participate in their family strengthening program. Frank learned effective skills that empowered him to keep his family together while continuing to grow his own potential and become a great man.

You can empower our church partners all over the world to strengthen and preserve families just like Frank’s by making an end-of-year donation to GO Project. Learn more and give today: https://bit.ly/goproject-20years

While tensions in the Middle East continue to rise, our GO MENA team received some good news earlier this month. After 3 years, GO MENA is officially a new Lebanese non-profit that has been established with the purpose of equipping churches to care for vulnerable children and their families! This greatly increases our ability to partner with local churches on a broader scale.

We know the best way to keep families together and kids with their parents where they belong is to provide strong jobs that create opportunities.

This is Silvain Goin. Silvain and his family are part of the Father’s Family group – a family strengthening program in Haiti. A local church coordinator trained them to properly seed and manage their crops, and while the weather has prevented some of their crops from growing, Silvain and his family have been able to share the abundance of what they have grown with their surrounding neighbors.

When ethnic cleansing reached their village of Djugu, Maurice and his family were forced to flee their home to Bunia. While the family was safer there, they were also like most internally displaced people (IDPs): vulnerable.

Our local church partner invited Maurice and his family to participate in our family strengthening program, which equips families with vital skills that empower them to succeed, giving them a hand up rather than a handout.

Read how Maurice and his wife were able to use what they learned from the program to send their four oldest children to school and move their family into a rented hut outside of the IDP camp.

Last month, we gathered to celebrate our friend, leader, and "GO Bro" Trace Thurlby. Trace was among the first staff members hired at GO Project and has humbly served with our organization for the last 13 years. We honor the impact that he has had here – and will continue to have as he transitions to our Board – and we celebrate this new opportunity that God has presented him.

From all of us here at The Global Orphan Project – THANK YOU! Your example has been a light to this next generation of faithful leaders who are stepping up in this exciting time.

In 2002, Mike and Beth Fox courageously said 'yes' to an invitation to care about orphaned children living on the other side of the world. That decision pierced their heart so deeply that they launched a nonprofit called C3 Missions - which eventually became The Global Orphan Project - to help break the orphan cycle through the power of community, commerce, and the love of Jesus.
