🚀 Exciting times in the film industry 🚀

Challenging industry standards, showcases that Hollywood blockbusters can succeed without extravagant budgets. We watched this film last weekend and just happened to stumble across this article from Artlist.io earlier this week - so we had to share!

1️⃣ Versatility Unleashed: First of all, props to Director Gareth Edwards for proving the prosumer camera's power. With its advanced color science, 12,800 ISO capability, and lightweight structure, the Sony FX3 provides users with exceptional adaptability. At Motion House Studio, we believe that success comes from skill, creativity, and making the most of what you've got. Coming from a DIY background we've learned firsthand that resourcefulness is the ultimate teacher. Cheers to all the fellow creatives out there blazing trails to bring us original ideas not bound to a budget.

2️⃣ Mobility Redefined: Gareth found that by minimizing the team size and production footprint, it became financially advantageous to shoot on location instead of investing in extensive studio constructions. He also chose to operate the camera himself for a majority of the film, allowing for spontaneous, instinct-driven filmmaking. This approach led them to 80 locations across Southeast Asia, covering 10,000 miles.

3️⃣ Capacity Perfected: Although the FX3's tech aligns perfectly with sci-fi demands, we're most impressed by Gareth's indie-budget success, proving that cutting-edge tech doesn't have to break the bank. At Motion House Studio, we lean into technology that maximizes efficiency and meets the needs of the task at hand (and honestly, try to avoid the pitfalls of gear that lead you down an infinite rabbit hole). 🐇
