Here’s to the Sons of Liberty and these Rebellious Stripes. Happy Patriots’ Day by fellow rebels and Deplorables.
On this day in history… American Freedoms were earned.
April 19th has special significance as the third strike of the match that started the Revolutionary War in 1775 at the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
It also marks the first bloodshed of the Civil War in 1861.
This country has gone to to the toilet, led by feckless leaders who’d just as well sell us to the highest bidder. We’ve seen this first hand but on this day… on THIS day… American’s earned our stripes in rebellion against tyranny.
Happy Patriots’ Day my fellow rebels.

Working on setting up the Etsy store but in the meantime these are $15 if anyone wants one.
Beard wax, leather conditioner & knife/axe protection in the field are its 3 main uses for me.
Facebook is tired, censored and managed by a tyranical few intent on silencing freedom of speech. We don’t really play the activist game. There are plenty of other folks that can claim that shock value better than us and frankly that’s not what we’re selling but if you’d rather say what you want to say and be heard, maybe its time to move on from Facebook. Yes this page still exists but its not managed much anymore. We’ll still drop things from time to time.

Selling my homemade Bullit Balm. This is my leather conditioner I use on my leather work. Also works as a beard and skin care, metal protector for things like carbon steel knife blades, axe heads, etc.
$15 a container. I have 2 versions available. Scented with Cedar wood Peppermint (glass jars) and one that is natural (black tins).
I have a vegan option available by request as well which has no animal product in it.
Well, are you? Probably not. Check out my latest video discussing some possible considerations. https://youtu.be/c8ZjV1VfRcw

Pretty funny when Youtube recommends our own video I uploaded not even 24hrs ago. Heh

And we’re done. Video coming soon. We have space for food, empty jars and buckets as well as all our canning tools and supplied all contained in one convenient space and all together.
Its coming together. Shelves so sturdy I can sit on them. These should easily hold a lot of weight in canned food. I’m enjoying this build.

Practicing some seed saving tonight. Made up 15 bags of pumpkin seeds I’ve been fermenting amd drying for a few weeks. Also one big bag of sunflower seeds I already had done.
Had a conversation with YaYa recently about the way different people think. In words, pictures or in multi dimensions.
I think dimensionally. 3d maybe but dimensionally all the same. When I sleep, I often lucid dream, conducting meetings, creating new designs, considering things that carry over from my awake life and spark new, creative ideas to act out in meatspace during my time awake.
For the last several years my mental pallet degraded to black and white though for reasons of stress, ambition and in a lot of cases a real loss of life (my own, not just losing loved ones to things like COVID) but my real state of being thinks dimensionally.
This summer I recognized the pattern and didn’t like what I saw so I made a few small changes with big impact to return to my true self. Its a process but I am healing from the stark black and white contrasts to find my color and shades of gray again. I honestly don’t think I’ve had it since 2018.
Since this summer I have found a longing for color again. Something that caught me off guard as anyone that knows me knows that most everything I’ve had or done in recent years has either been black or brown. Heck, I even simplified my wardrobe to be just black tops and brown pants/belts/shoes.
But lately I find myself more enabled by blue and orange, a color pairing that is complementary on the secondary color wheel for anyone who knows what that is. I gravitate to my blue jackets, my mustard colored shoes, blue bags, orange accent pieces like pens and watches, copper necklaces, etc.
The return of a desire and gravity towards color to my life is a huge indicator that my dimple has a smile behind it again not just a smirk.
I had a request for one of these leather wrapped Rite in the Rain binders recently in more army colors with Olive drab green, brown accent leather and copper stitching but I also had a strong desire to make a new one for myself that was blue. So I made this one. It was rushed, the logo had to be double struck and the stitching got a bit off for the slip sleeve in the back because I made it in less than 4hrs. Admittedly I was more excited than anything to bring this into existence for myself than I was about accuracy. Still, it turned out well in the end.
Most of my leatherwork ideas are modeled in completion in my head during sleep before I ever mark the first line of my templates. Working it out in my time awake becomes just the art of perfecting the design and making tweaks to an intended repeatable process so I can make more than one as they are requested.
All that back story though to just say dang I really like these binders and love this color way so much I had to share it. Lighting doesn’t really do it justice but its beautiful and it speaks to me.
I love the Insta360 cameras we have but there’s a lot of extra work required in post to export the footage and make a video out of it for Youtube.
I’d also been researching all the NoPro alternatives to the GoPro for months but what we found was disappointing mainly in the recoed times for things like 4k and the way they wrote the files out on disk in short increments that were not seamless and prone to losing audio. We kinda just decided that the Black Friday deal on the latest GoPro was the best route to take so we went for it. This should help us get some different video footage that isn’t quite as fisheye’d and also footage that is easier to make complete videos out of.
Still need to work up to a decent mirrorless point and shoot but we’re slowly building the camera options for better video story telling.
I do enjoy making these.
A very special thank you to all our subscribers. We appreciate you all so much. This one was fun to make and we hope you enjoy it.
