We try not to have favorites, but it's hard not to be rooting for Grady.

Two different sports injuries eventually required ankle and shoulder surgeries in 2022. In August of last year, a significant football injury brought him back to see Dr. Daggett, which required proximal tibia ORIF with biceps femoris repair. 12 weeks of non-weight bearing and a lot of rehab made for a grueling recovery. Throughout his recovery, Grady continued to have a positive outlook. We are so proud of him!

We're diving into the essential roadmap for navigating your recovery journey. While every athlete's journey is unique, we have a few tips to help athletes navigate the challenges ahead.

✅ Focus on what you can do. This may be upper body training right after knee surgery, swapping out running for cycling, or exploring all the fuss regarding mobility.

✅ Celebrate milestones. Setting performance goals and rehab milestones will help recovery seem more achievable.

✅ Patience and persistence. These are your greatest allies on the recovery journey. Despite the inevitable ups and downs, staying committed to your goals and trusting in the process will carry you through the toughest of times.
