Little moment for these characters and costumes from and ! Introducing - Nintoku! I couldn’t be more proud to bear the name of this legendary Emperor of Japan. Each Indigenous character in Peter Pan has come to Neverland to keep their cultures alive. And what’s even more special is each Indigenous character is the reflection of the actor playing them. So my character and costume are heavily based on my Japanese background. I can feel my ancestors with me, and I have never experienced this level of cultural honoring before. I’m soo proud to wear this costume made for me and designed with so much care, love, and research by the incredible .fidelia, to bear the name and say the words written by the phenomenal , and to wear this wig made for me by the amazing . AND Introducing - Pirate Bill “Jukes” Jukebox! Unlike Nintoku, whose name and character were created for me, Jukes is from the original Peter Pan. He has seen many iterations through the years, and this version is my fav! He’s eager, enthusiastic, a true sweets-enthusiast, and a tad unhinged. SO proud to be wearing this costume made for me by .fidelia, and custom wig by . Beyond grateful! 🏴‍☠️✨💚

🎤 Our Tech Theatre Training Program has officially begun!

20 high school students from around the metro were selected to train with Starlight staff on how a theatrical production is put up at Starlight.

The students will learn and work throughout the next 8 months where they will end the program putting their new skills to use at the Blue Star Awards Ceremony! In addition, they will all receive the opportunity to connect with further internships, jobs, and other training experiences that exist for technical theatre professionals.

We're thrilled to start this journey and congrats to each and every one of them! 👏
