In Case You Missed It (ICYMI): Hollywood Casino Grant Awardees Confirmed
Over 75 organizations serving Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS were recently awarded with the 2024 Hollywood Casino Grant. The Board of Commissioners established a grant fund to improve the community health of Wyandotte County. Funding for this grant is possible because of an annual contribution from the Hollywood Casino.
The Hollywood Casino Grant is an annual program, made possible by a contribution by the Hollywood Casino, that supports local nonprofits working on community health initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles, access to fresh food, and physical activity with grants.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, July 24, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will begin bridge repairs at I-70/38th Street/Park Drive in Kansas City, Kansas, weather permitting.
The project includes installing new bridge expansion joints, repairing bridge abutments, and patching the bridge deck. While the work is underway, the following ramps will be closed:
Eastbound I-70 to 38th Street/Park Drive exit
38th Street/Park Drive to eastbound I-70 entrance

Help KCKPD Cram the Cruiser with school supplies! Stop by The Lawn at Legends Outlets Kansas City on Saturday, July 6, between 11 AM - 2 PM and drop off your donation of new school supplies for families in need in our community. The most needed items include spiral notebooks, backpacks, folders and pens & pencils.
Donations will then be distributed at the First Responder Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 3, from 10 AM - 2 PM, at Pierson Park, Shelter #1.

🚧 A KDOT maintenance project will require an overnight short-term closure of WB I-70 and the NB I-35 to WB I-70 ramp in Missouri on Tuesday, Dec. 5, to erect a sign truss over WB I-70 in Kansas City, Kan. All work is weather permitting.
🛑 The following will be fully closed to traffic from Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. to Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 5 a.m.:
• WB I-70 at Broadway Blvd.
• NB I-35 to WB I-70 ramp
➡️ During the scheduled closures, the WB I-70 to Broadway Blvd. exit ramp will remain open. Traffic will be detoured around closures using WB I-670 and the downtown loop.
