Important safety alert! Please read.
Our neighbor, Tracy Hennrich, who lives at 23rd and Tracy in the Mount Prospect area of Beacon Hill (north Beacon Hill) was verbally threatened and robbed while on his regular morning walk.
The robbery happened at 24th and Troost.
The robbers, 3 young men and one young woman between ages 17-21, verbally threatened his life and demanded his phone, password, and anything else he had on his body. They got his phone, but not the password.
The robbers were in a white Pontiac Vibe. Two of them got out of the car and chased Tracy on foot. Tracy was able to get away unharmed. He has filed a police report.
Please be aware, and if you have any information, please share!

Why is mixed-income housing critical to building our communities ?
See what UNI’s Community Engagement Coordinator, Saleem Rasheed, had to say:
“Mixed-income housing creates opportunities for communities to come together because it provides an avenue for people from different socioeconomic statuses to come together and learn from each other. Diversity in a neighborhood is a better reflection of the diversity in a society. I also believe that everyone having the same access to resources and basic services creates a more cohesive environment where neighbors become more relatable to each other.”
Hey, neighbors, if you attended the Beacon Hill neighborhood gathering on Saturday, you may have noticed construction in the area.
