My beloved brother, Bishop C.E. Williams, is one of the most consistent providers of quality, thought-provoking content. His drive to communicate is simply unmatched. So let me take a page from his book and share this thought with you.

There are some things that are beyond our human ability to accomplish. I think the Father gave us these limitations so we wouldn't be foolish enough to try hard things without Him. Forgiveness has to be listed among the pantheon of difficult things to humanly accomplish alone. We need Him to help us in our journey of forgiveness. I won't pontificate on the varying views of forgiveness and its impact on reconciliation and restored relationships here. Suffice it to say, it's a God-sized problem being held up in human hearts. Some people may never forgive you for perceived or actual offenses. Try as you might, they are unable or unwilling to see your growth beyond their offense. Settle in to that unfortunate reality. You can't change their mind, and your goal shouldn't be to either. Yes, you should apologize, acknowledge the offense, seek reconciliation. However, some breaches may never be mended. God help us as we grieve lost relationships and damaged levels of influence. Some things we'll under better, "by and by."
