👉🏻For Buyers: Even though interest rates are anticipated to rise in the coming months, these rates are STILL historically low!

📈For Sellers: Home values are continuing the rise...this isn't price inflation, it's price appreciation caused from a lack of supply and very high demand. It's still a seller's market!

If you've been looking for a house but you're having trouble getting an offer accepted, our realtor Kathleen Spiking, ReeceNichols gave some advice on 41 Action News - KSHB-TV this morning!

Most buyers are focused on move in-ready houses, but fixer-uppers are a hidden gem. If you don't want to completely renovate a house, don't worry! Sometimes all a "fixer-upper" needs is a one-room facelift. These houses could be a good option because have less competition among buyers, and in Kansas City, MO they're selling for an average of 55% less than move in-ready homes.

Things to think about when buying a fixer upper:
✅Don’t skip the inspection! Take this time to find out the true condition of the home AND get bids for the big stuff.
✅Always have a buffer built into your overall renovation budget. Surprises happen!
✅ Call your local lender to talk about renovation loan options to help finance your project
✅ Be patient! More homes are coming on the market.
