Following the Maui wildfire, Hawaiian Electric’s stock is down 75% at $10 today. While most people would be scared of this red chart, I see this as an opportunity as a long term investment because they are the only company that can power Hawaii. Could another company step in? Yes, but that would be very difficult. Utility stocks are usually a safe investment because people will always pay their power bills before they pay any other bill. You can’t cook, turn your lights on, charge your cell phones, watch tv, or use your refrigerator without electricity, haha!
Hawaiian Electric also usually pays dividends every quarter, so you’ve got some cash flow into your portfolio.
If you decide to invest, be patient! Don’t expect their stock to go back to the $30-$40 range anytime soon. I am planning on holding my shares at least for a few years.

Boom! As I expected, the Fed cut rates by .50% today! Let’s go!!!
Happy rate cut day! I think the Fed will give us a .50% cut today. We’ll see!
All eyes on the Fed tomorrow as they could announce a .25% or .50% rate cut! Over the past two years, they’ve been raising rates. This will be the first rate cut, of several rate cuts to come over the next several months.
Big news coming this Wed, Sept 18! After two years of raising interest rates, the Fed could finally cut rates! Remember back in 2022 when I warned everyone that the Fed would start raising interest rates? And they did!
There is money to be made, for those who pay attention!
Back in Dec 2022, I shared how Hyatt would be building a hotel in Ho’opili. This is the first hotel in Ewa Beach!
Fast forward to today, now they’ve broken ground and construction has started. The hotel will be located next to The Element on 3.49 acres at 91-3456 Nana Hope St.
The property will feature 108 Hyatt Place rooms and 132 Hyatt House extended-stay rooms, 19 of which include balconies and 86 that have kitchenettes. The five-story building also will include an outdoor swimming pool and spa, 3,009 square feet of meeting space, a dining room, a business center and a fitness center.

URGENT: After the DOW dropped nearly 800 points last week, the 24 hour market is continuing to drop, both stocks and crypto. Get ready for more golden opportunities to buy some amazing companies for great prices!
I recommend not going “all in” at one time on the dip because nobody knows how far the dip could continue to keep dipping. My strategy is to buy small amounts of stocks at a time, that way you can slowly lower your dollar cost average. Also, it would be wise to save some cash, especially if you don’t have an emergency savings.
Investing is just like riding a roller coaster. You will not get hurt on a roller coaster as long as you keep your seatbelt on. The same goes with investing. You never lose money until you you actually pull your money out. So buckle up, and ride it out!
For those who are investing in the Thrift Savings Plan, just like during the stock market crash in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, my plan is to continue investing 80% in C, 10% in S, and 10% in I. Stay the course!
History has shown over, and over, and over that down markets give investors amazing opportunities to buy wonderful companies for cheap prices. Those who stay calm, hold what they have, and buy more while it’s on sale will win! Most people cannot control their emotions, so they panic and decide to sell, locking in their losses. This is why most people are not rich. Don’t be like most people! Zoom out and look at the big picture.

Amazon’s 595,000-square-foot delivery center in Sand Island opens today! Amazon has invested $800M in Hawaii and will be hiring about 1,000 people. Stations this size typically send out 300,000 to 400,000 packages per week.
Amazon also partnered with Hawaiian Airlines to have the company operate and maintain an initial fleet of 10 Airbus A330-300 freighters to bring packages into the building. This is just one of the latest expansions for Amazon, which also owns 49 acres in Kapolei where they will eventually be opening another distribution center.
Even if we all were born with the same amount of money, there would still be rich people and poor people. Why?
Because some choose to blow their money, while others choose to invest their money.
Some choose to hustle and read books and watch videos about investing to get ahead, while others choose to cruise and watch useless tv shows and movies.
Some people wish for things to happen in life, while others make things happen.
From Jan 1, 2024 to today, Real Broker’s stock has been blowing away competitors!
Real Broker is up 242%
EXP is down 24%

Home prices in Hawaii are only going to continue going up, especially when interest rates drop! Fact:
In 1980, interest rates were 14%
In 1985, interest rates were 13%
In 1985, the average price of a single family home on Oahu was $158,000.
In 2023, the average price of a single family home on Oahu was $1,000,000.
Those who did NOT wait for rates to drop, and bought a home, have likely more than quadrupled their money! From 1985 to 2024, that’s a 500% return! They also refinanced to a lower interest rate.
Today we closed on 91-3641 Iwikuamo’o Street #9310 in Ewa Beach! So excited for my client as she now owns a brand new home in Hawaii!
Big congratulations if you are still invested in Equitrans Midstream, one of my favorite dividend stocks. Back in April 2023, they fell to $4 a share. I posted on here and on YouTube about how they were undervalued. About a month later they soared to $8 a share. Then I posted a video about how they have a $14 price target. Today, Equitrans is now sitting over $14 a share!
You’ve more than trippled your money, up 250%! You’re also getting paid dividends, aka cash flow! With dividends you are literally making money while you sleep.
Big news on Oahu’s north shore!
A Maryland-based lodging and real estate investment firm announced today that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the fee simple interest in the 450-room Turtle Bay Resort for $680 million.
Host Hotels & Resorts Inc. said the purchase is expected to close in late July, at which time it will transition management to Marriott and flag the hotel with the Ritz-Carlton brand.
The dfeal includes 49-acre parcel “entitled for development,” the company said in a news release. The purchase price is $630 million for the resort and $50 million for the parcel, company officials said.
