📣According to HBR's latest Local Market Update, Kaneohe saw the largest increase in 🏡single-family home sales, up 267% year over year from 6 sales to 22. The area’s median sales price ticked down 1% to $1,125,000. New listings in Kaneohe rose 64% and active inventory was 24% higher, ending the month with 26 active SFH listings in the region.

In the 🏦condo/townhome market, closed sales in Makakilo rose 86% YOY as the area’s median condo price was up 3% to $665,000. The region saw new listings even with last February and active inventory increased by 14%, ending the month with 16 active condo listings.

🚨HBR's June stats report shows that the median sales price for single-family homes was $1,050,000 and $510,000 for condos, both down 4.5% compared to June 2022.

🏡Home sales dropped 30.5% and 🏬condo sales dove 24.9%. Days on market remained relatively quick, with most properties entering a contract in just over two weeks.

The first half of the year saw approximately 26% of home sales that closed for more than the original asking price compared to 61% over the same period last year, while 21% of condo sales closed above the original asking price compared to 43% in the first half of 2022.

: Clyde Aikau confirmed to Hawaii News Now that the 2023 Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational is a go.

The contest is set to begin on Sunday for its 34th edition of the contest dedicated to the North Shore’s legendary waterman.

Aikau says that conditions will be epic on Sunday with waves estimated to reach 30 feet and wind and wave directions will be just right.
