How it works:
I request photos in advance and then tour your home and review up to  5 spaces in person, assessing your needs and making recommendations for your space. Includes 5 areas of your home. Then I email you a comprehensive written checklist with my recommendations within 1-2 days so you can improve your space on your own. From there, some clients will purchase more hours of help while others will choose to tackle the checklist on their own. Can be used for paint color questions as well. 

My in-home consultation includes:
* Reviewing your photos in advance & pre-thinking some ideas
* An In-home visit, tour and discussion of up to 5 spaces
* A comprehensive checklist of my recommendations specific to improving your home 
* Tips and tricks for maximizing your decor budget 
* Total Time reviewing your photos, home, and preparing your recommendations checklist space : 2.5 hours

A great question from one of my free question Fridays! The biggest mistakes that I see people make is to buy furniture that's too big or too small. Or they buy one entire set from one place so that it looks too sterile.

FAN OR CHANDELIER? For my clients in Texas it's about 80% fan & 20% chandelier. Couples don't always agree on this so whenever that happens the person who NEEDS the fan always wins! 😂😩

I personally prefer a beautiful chandelier but I am married to a hottie and he needs a fan!!

I haven't found a chandelier/fan combo that I really am impressed by as of yet but one day… I might go that route.

Here are my best recommendations for sprucing up your living room!

➡️ Freshen up some furniture.
Get rid of that ugly recliner, cheap looking lamps, outdated sofa, etc.

➡️Add a big beautiful rug
Make sure most of your furniture can fit on the rug.

➡️Add drapes or panels on the sides of your windows.
Pull a color from the room and add dramatic and long drapery panels.

➡️Replace ceiling fan or light fixture.
Chances are you have a dated light fixture or fan that could use replacing. GO BIG!

AN EYE FOR QUALITY: Do you know how to spot quality or high priced items like this? I got this at a recent estate sale & ended up getting it for $0.50. I look for old treasures like this because I love mixing old with new when styling, furnishing and accessorizing.

A kiss at sunset! (Sunscreen failure alert!) Enjoyed snorkeling with turtles, stingrays, barracuda, lion fish, tons of tropical fish, and I spotted a huge rock crab!! We are also getting a lot of little things done on the condo so it's not all play.... but mostly yes....

AND THE ANSWER IS....PAINT!
Lighten up those dull builder beige walls • Paint your front door, stairs, and/or office ceiling charcoal • Paint a feature wall behind your bed • Paint your kitchen cabinets lighter or darker • Be bold and try a full color drench in a dining room • Paint (or wallpaper) that boring powder room & add a funky mirror & big, bold light fixture for a major pop! Paint is reasonably affordable and makes a home feel updated. CAUTION! Always test your paint before using by buying a sample & painting it on poster boards & blue-taping it around the room! Also Google the undertones for the paint colors you are considering and research them well.
