Buy land… they’re not making it anymore! In fact, we are losing it as ocean levels rise.

Two and a half years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Perez, my past clients, approached me with the goal of building their wealth. After our consultation, they realized they didn’t have the funds for a rental property, so I encouraged them to invest in land, which required a smaller down payment. The process went smoothly, and they secured their investment.

They also saw it as a future investment in their dream home, planning to build on it when the time is right.

Fast forward to early this year, and the value of that same piece of land had increased by almost $45,000. This is significant because that amount of money sitting in a bank wouldn’t have yielded such a high return in such a short time. Severe weather last month led to a slight dip in single-family home sales in Great Houston, down 1.5% from last year. 📉

Property Sales: In May, property sales in Great Houston decreased by 3.1% compared to last year. This means fewer properties were sold, likely impacted by severe weather.

Volume: The dollar volume in Great Houston was flat at $4.3 billion, indicating the overall value of sales remained about the same as last year, despite fewer properties being sold.

Sales: In Great Houston, single-family pending sales increased by 1.8% in May, suggesting a rise in future property transactions once these deals close.

Active Listings: Great Houston saw a significant increase, with 38.2% more active listings compared to the previous year. This higher inventory means there are more options available for buyers in the market.

National inventory stands at a 3.5-month supply, moving towards a balanced market where neither buyer nor seller has the upper hand. 🏡

Yesterday was Easter Monday in Nigeria!

For me, Easter Monday meant Galilee! It was a time for family and church family to come together in a location free from life’s distractions. Usually with lots of food, drinks, balloons, candies, and great music. There was time for prayers, praise, and worship.

We went to Galilee to meet Jesus!

Some even used the occasion to corner their boyfriends or girlfriends (though dating was not allowed for teenagers then). 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I remember the excitement in the air….Keep in mind, the days and weeks leading to Easter were 40 days of fasting for Christians, a time of solemnity and quietness, even for those of us who love(d) food too much to complete 40 days!

Galilee meant something new was about to happen. It was where everything began for the disciples, where they left everything to follow Him and experienced His teachings and miracles.

It was where Jesus kept His first post-resurrection promise, reminding us of His faithfulness even in the face of death.

As an adult, I reflect on Galilee now, and it means reassurance, renewal...and hope.

It means that though sorrow may last for a night, joy comes in the morning.

About one year to this day! Throwback to the my last visit to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi

As Ramadan begins, I find myself reminiscing about my upbringing in Southwest Nigeria - Ilesha Osun State, where this holy month marked some of the quietest and most reflective days of the year. As Muslims observe their fast, everything seemed to slow down – parties became quieter, and the pace of life shifted. It wasn't just out of respect for their religious practices, but also because Muslim business owners played a significant role in our local economy.

There were even times, like this year, when Ramadan coincided with Christian fasting, making the atmosphere even more serene. I remember eagerly counting down to the end of fasting, longing for the return of lively gatherings and festivities.

Looking back, I cherish those moments filled with nostalgia, knowing they're part of a past that can never be relived. All I can do now is offer my prayers for my Muslim friends and family, hoping that their prayers and supplications are accepted. We're counting down with you all, eagerly anticipating the joyous celebrations to come!
