This past weekend, Partners in the Gospel was announced at Mass.
Partners in Gospel is a strategic pastoral planning effort taking place across the Archdiocese of Seattle to re-invigorate and renew our local Catholic Church.
Today we face many realities that impact parish life and make it difficult to fully live out our mission. This archdiocesan-wide renewal effort, led by the Holy Spirit and grounded in prayer, will help us better support vibrant, sustainable, mission-focused parish communities across the entire Archdiocese of Seattle.
An introductory video can be found on our website https://www.stroselongview.com/partners
Next Sunday, January 29, we will be hosting a few sessions for parishioners to watch the video together:
10:00 am at St. Rose Church
12:30 pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary
At the end of 6pm Mass at St. Rose (Spanish)
Weekday Mass on Friday, December 23rd is CANCELLED! It should warm up tonight and tomorrow, so we do not anticipate any chages to the Christmas Mass schedule. The Masses at Immacculate Heart are Christmas Eve at 7pm, and Christmas Day at 10:30.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
For over 800 years, St. Francis of Assisi has been a beacon for the Church through his witness to the Gospel. The name “alter Christus”, a living icon of Christ, was given to him for his choice to live in poverty in order to encounter the Lord. His feast day is October 4.

God, source of all freedom, this day is bright with the memory of those who declared that life and liberty are your gift to every human being. Help us to continue a good work begun long ago. Make our vision clear and our will strong: that only in human solidarity will we find liberty, and justice only in the honor that belongs to every life on earth. Turn our hearts toward the family of nations: to understand the ways of others, to offer friendship, and to find safety only in the common good of all. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
