First day at the new spa!! Please bear with me as I navigate my new flow. Everything is completely opposite to what I’m used to. I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it quickly. Can’t wait for ya’ll to see my new room and how beautiful Oasis Massage and Wellness is.

Sometimes when you get your brows tinted for the very first time it can be a little shocking. I always tell everyone “you’re going to be shocked at first and hate them, but I promise you will text me tomorrow telling me how much you love them.” Because it happens every time. This is proof.

Hello lovelies!! I have some very exciting news!!

Starting May 1st

I will be operating out of Oasis Massage and Wellness here in Kendallville. I have loved working at Jagged edge for the last 4 years and feel so blessed to be a part of their team, but I feel like moving to Main Street is where I am meant to be! My booking site and phone number will all be the same the only thing changing is my location. I will be sending texts to everyone before your appointment to remind you of the my new location just in case you forget. Although I am sad to leave Jagged Edge I’m so excited for my future with Oasis. Thank you all so much for sticking with me and supporting my small business. See you at your next appointment!!

I know spring break is coming up and everyone wants to go get a “base tan” but please consider a spray tan instead of tanning bed. Also, you will still get sunburnt with a base tan. Reapply your SPF every two hours and stay hydrated. The tanning bed just is worth all the risks. ♥️♥️

UVA=Aging
UVB=Burning

Just wear a good SPF and don’t go to the tanning bed. That’s all I ask❤️❤️😁😘

I know we’ve all seen these youths on social media telling us how they keep their skin glowy and healthy, but let’s be honest when we were young we used baby oil to get good and tan in the sun! Oh and don’t forget going to the tanning bed before vacation because “we need a base tan”. (FYI that’s not a thing.) We never had anyone telling us to wear sunscreen. The goal was to be a golden goddess. If we knew that 20 years later we would be spending 100’s of dollars to correct the damage we caused we would have been more cautious. So maybe don’t listen to someone in their 20s on SM saying they use lemons or dry brushing or chemical peels you can buy at Walmart. Just ask someone who may know a thing or two about skincare. Someone who maybe went to school for it and is licensed and stuff. 🥰

Let’s talk about dermaplaning, shall we?

What is it? Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation process that removes dead skin cells using a scalpel blade. Bonus of the skin cell removal is that it also removes all the vellus hair (peach fuzz) we have on our faces.

Does it hurt? Not at all. As a matter of fact a lot of clients like the way it feels.

Will my hair grow back darker and thicker? No. The only thing that can alter your facial hair color or thickness is hormones. The hair is basically shaved flush with your skin so no changes are made to the actual hair follicle. Your hair will grow back exactly the same as before your facial.

Benefits? The exfoliation forces your skin cells to renew which keeps your skin looking young and helps even out those fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps your makeup go on so much smoother.

Can everyone be dermaplaned? Dermaplaning is not recommended for people with active acne breakouts or anyone who is on acutane or medications that thin your blood.

Please, I’m begging you do not get your skincare advice from influencers. What works for one persons skin may not work for yours. Especially with acne. You could really cause irreparable damage to your skin. I love to talk about skincare and I am more than willing to answer any questions you have. Many of you know I took this week off to go be with my sister in Ohio while she had her baby. So I just wanted to update everyone that she had the sweetest baby boy there ever was! I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!

The perfect stocking stuffer doesn’t exi….
I try to do some kind of stocking stuffer every year and this year I have outdone myself. I found the cutest coffee mugs and stuffed them with all kinds of goodies for only $20!!
