Monday/Wednesday:
This will be a lighter practice usually about 1 hour. It is open to all ages and skill level. We will have dedicated keiki canoes when numbers allow. If introducing a first time paddler we will be encouraging them to join this practice first to use the slower pace to learn under. This is also the option for paddlers not ready for or not wanting the extensive adult practices.

Tueday/Thursday/Sunday
This will have long distance race training in mind. Expect 1.5-2 hours of water time. Paddlers should be ready for a variety of higher intensity drills and medium effort long sets. Beginner paddlers will be encouraged to join once basics are grasped and are ready for the training program.
For everyone that has been coming to the adult practices already, expect more of the same with a progressive increase to time/intensities as we grow stronger.
We will be planning dedicated steering, huli drill, and technique clinics this summer as well, so stay tuned!

Aloha e All,

Tl' awh-ah-dees Park (formerly Squires Landing in Kenmore) has officially reopened as of Friday, April 7! Woot Woot!

Our canoes still need a bit of work before we can bring them down to our new home. We also plan to build some new cradles for each canoe because our storage area is on gravel and we want to protect our repaired and repainted canoes. The goal is to have them ready to transport on Sunday, April 16.
I have entered practices,

Tuesdays/Thursdays 6PM
and Sundays 9AM,
April 16 through December 31, 2023

as well as all of the PNWORCA races.
Please go into Team Cowboy and set your RSVPs, including which races you would like to participate in.

The ribbon cutting for the park will be Saturday, May 6, starting at 10a, that is also an event on Team Cowboy.

I look forward to paddling with you all,
Melissa
