Today we observe Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day, to remember fallen soldiers and victims of terror. Many of our students are joining Jewish communities across the country to honor and celebrate Israeli family and friends who are no longer with us. We know that this Yom HaZikaron is particularly challenging, in the wake of the devastation of October 7. Our hearts are with our Israeli and Jewish communities around the world, and especially in Israel.

Today marks 30 days after the horrific massacre of civilians on Israeli soil. In Jewish tradition, after sitting Shiva for seven days, it is still a mourning period for relatives for 23 more days. This marks an important and meaningful moment in the Jewish calendar of grief.

What a phenomenal Shabbat! We celebrated Israel through listening to our students and speakers and holding a special service. What a beautiful ceremony and celebration!

It’s official! We’ve completely moved in to the KSU Place Clubhouse! Thank you to the students who helped move the big stuff!! If you’re looking for a place for Yom Kippur, Hillel is keeping the clubhouse open for those that are Fasting and will host a Break-fast Monday night! Hope to see you there!!
