Ciao from Italy! ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ
Recently, five of our students, along with bass instructor Leonardo Lopes, and 11 UGA students supervised by program director Dr. Masciadri, had the incredible opportunity to study abroad for three weeks in Italy.
Not only did they take lessons and perform at the conservatories of Turin and Milan, but they also performed with the Turin Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and the Alessandria Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. Several concerts and recitals were held in different cities, such as Turin, Milan, Ivrea, Alessandria, Vinovo, Castelazzo, and Casei Gerola. One particularly special recital took place at the gorgeous Palazzo Madama, a royal palace in Turin.
In Milan, the basses had the unique opportunity to play one of the only 3 Octobasses in the world.
It was an incredible experience for everyone!
