Let’s come together to pray for our community! There are so many uncharted territories we are experiencing, and there is no better way forward than resetting our eyes on God, the author of it all. 💜

The above excerpt is from the general order read two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. On June 19th, all slaves in America were now free from chattel slavery.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth (Emancipation Day). We are learning and growing.

Bring your lawn chairs, a blanket, a snack, and get ready to worship at Swift-Cantrell Park on July 12th! We’ll have fun for the whole family!

Today we get to come together to gather in prayer. We get to lift up our brothers and sisters. We get to bring our cities, our communities, and our nation to God.

We are so excited to spend this hour with our community. A couple of things to remember:
- This is a family event. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Bring snacks for the kids.
- We will respect your comfortability when it comes to social distancing and any measure you feel comfortable in taking.
- This is a community event - so invite your community. Extend an invitation, share the event on your page. Have conversations with those around you and those who do not look like you.

We are better together.
