North Cobb-Harrison-NJROTC Booster Organization, Inc.
North Cobb-Harrison NJROTC Booster Club
Pensacola Trip
Final day:
The cadets had a great morning exploring the USS Alabama Battleship and the USS Drum Submarine.
We stopped at Buccees for some chow (as Commander says) and now we are homebound!
As we approach Veterans Day, I think we all have a deeper appreciation for our veterans and all those who are currently serving in the armed forces.
A special thanks to Commander Pascoe and the leadership team, the preparation and ex*****on was remarkable. We have the best leaders and unit, imagine 46 cadets staying in an organized line 2 by 2 amongst 120k people (record attendance)at the airfield.
They did it!!
👏💖☝️
Day 2:
We started early this morning!
Up at 6am, breakfast at 6:30am.
Everyone to the bus and we rolled out precisely at 7:06am
What is only a 30 minute drive to the base took us over 3 hours.
The cadets took it in stride though. Very proud of them.
We had a great day! The air show was spectacular, especially the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels.
Everyone got back safe and sound.
Then the cadets had enough energy to go play at the beach. Then dinner and off to sleep 😴
Long day, but it was a good day
Cadets from our Unit are on a field trip to Pensacola to see the Blue Angels this weekend. On the drive down, they stopped at the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site and a tour of Auburn.
Day 1:
On Saturday, cadets from our Unit participated in Kennesaw Parks & Recreation's annual recycling event at Swift Cantrell Park, providing support through community service.
We wanted to share some pictures from this year's Annual Military Inspection at North Cobb that was held last week. The inspection went very well and 2nd Platoon was named the Honor Platoon this year. The cadets worked very hard to get ready for this and we are all very proud of them! And a big thank you to all of the family and friends that came to watch and support them! It was a great turnout!
Congratulations to the Drill Team! Last weekend, members of the Drill Team traveled to Stockbridge High School to compete in the Stockbridge Drill Meet. Our team placed second overall and qualified for the Area 9 Drill Championship! Our cadets earned 1st place in unarmed basic, 2nd place in unarmed exhibition, 3rd place in armed basic, 5th in color guard, 4th in armed exhibition, 2nd place in male push-ups, 1st place in relay run, and 3rd place in athletics. These cadets have worked extremely hard to demonstrate their competitiveness and support for their unit! We are proud of them!
Their last day in DC was filled with visits to notable sites like Arlington National Cemetery, the Iwo Jima Memorial, and the US Capitol. So many memories were made this week!
Look at all the wonderful monuments they got to visit today! Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, MLK Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial.
The group visited the Naval Academy this morning.
They got to visit the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the Marine Corps Museum today. Lots of smiles!
The group made it safely to VA last night and then headed to dinner. They look excited! Not sure if it’s just to be off the bus after such a long drive, or looking forward to what they will get to see the next day. 😆
And they’re off! Members of the Unit are headed to DC for several days to visit monuments and other sights for a few days. We hope they have a great visit!
Thank you to everyone that was able to join us for the annual Welcome Aboard picnic today at Cauble Park!
The group had the privilege of taking a tour of the Pentagon today. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
The group was at Fort Gregg-Adams today and took part in Petroleum and Water purification training.
And they’re off to DC! We are very excited for all the cadets going on the trip! So many great memories will be made this week. ❤️🤍💙
Good Evening All,
I hope this email finds everyone doing well. This is to notify the parents that the NJROTC Awards Nights is scheduled for Wed, 3 May at 7pm. The ceremony will be conducted on the south side of the school in the PAC (Performing Arts Center). Family members and friends are all welcomed and encouraged to attend
The ceremony will last a few hours as we want to ensure we properly recognize those that will be receiving awards. As explained to the NS1 cadets, the ceremony is to honor our seniors on their completion of the program and to recognize our rising seniors and juniors…sort of a passing on of the torch. In addition, the new command will be revealed as well as the welcoming of the new Booster Organization Board.
Although not mandatory, It is highly encouraged that ALL CADETS be present at the ceremony out of respect for the seniors who have given so much to the program.
At the completion of the ceremony, it is asked that all uniforms be sent to the cleaners so they can be turned in before the school year ends. We are asking to have them in NLT than 12 May, about a week after the awards ceremony. Uniforms will be marked and stored in our Supply cage ready to be reissued in the fall.
So again, we hope to see you all at the program on Wed, 3 May at 7pm. Please ensure your cadet is at the school NLT the 6:30pm so we can take attendance and have everyone staged prior to the start of the program. Please email me if there are any additional questions. Thank you and the LT. 1stSgt and Booster Club Board hope to see you there.
