Take a Vet Fishing NFP

We honor and support our military veterans with a day of giving back. TAKE A VET FISHING was created to give back to those who serve our great nation every day.

The mission is simple, to show these men and women how much they mean to us. Our slogan is "A day of giving back" and that is the core of our mission. When our brave service men and women return from overseas, as a nation, we have been failing to show these heroes our appreciation. A shockingly high number of service members are returning with injuries and even the soldiers without physical wounds

Operation Healing Heroes and Take a Vet Fishing decided to try to “Give Back” to our Florida community… we contacted the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Department and learned of people who needed help in the community.
We reached out to our fellow Beachwalk residents and created a “task force” of volunteers… little did I know that we would have over 60 people respond - wanting to help our fellow Floridians!!
Today, we accomplished our first two “missions” assigned to us by the Charlotte County Emergency Services…
We helped an Allegiant Airlines flight attendant who lost everything, and an elderly gentleman who was in the same situation… total loss…
The before and after pictures tell the whole story… it’s AMAZING what people can when when they come together! We are SO BLESSED to live in such an AMAZING community- full of people whose HEARTS are in the right place!
We have more deployments coming up this week… more people to help. The devastation is incomprehensible…
