Always happy to calm anyones nerves with before and afters 😆

This pantry over here got a second chance in life and we were thrilled to give it that.

We believed the owners would greatly benefit from a new system in lieu of the existing shelving. We worked together with the to make this dream come true.

Before installation, we had the interior painted a nice complementary color to give this new space some dimension. You agree?

After installation, we implemented a system so that the busy family could happily maintain the space without running into the issues they had before.

Our goal was to move many items off their kitchen countertop and onto the interior face of the pantry doors.

We made sure to use the existing bins for another part of the home.

Featuring (4) organization projects where each client felt the improvement immediately affected their life @ home. Threw in a few more photos from other similar type projects of ours, just cause.

1️⃣ The homeowners weren’t sure of what to do with this awkward closet. We suggested flippin and reversing the door swing and building a series of intentional shelves + hooks. Took full advantage of the ceiling height and went to town with an organized system.

This went from an inefficient closet to a high functioning room. A place for everything and plenty of room for the Costco runs💥

2️⃣ This closet had been organized in the past, however the homeowner felt like something was still not working. This poor thing was holding way too much. We reworked it so that there was sufficient room for the day to day items and moved other items to the donation bin and better suited places in the home. It was like a 🤡 car in there so we lightened and reset. We 👏🏼 said good bye to the over-the-door shoe storage too💥

3️⃣ This space had potential that wasn’t recognized right away. Once discovered, we implemented a storage system on casters to store less frequently used items - opening up spaces in other important parts of the home. 💥

4️⃣ This cabinet is basically the hub of the house for a fam of 5. We created a cord storage set up, a water bottle station and homes for all the other things we love sharing 🤥 with our family members 💥

⚙️ Maintenance everyso often is essential and it’s really a team effort. But once we set up, get rid of the nonsense and put a system in place, it will roll happily from there ⚙️ Now let the utilizing begin! Now if you are still reading - that’s awesome, thank you 🙏🏼😎

So I was going to close out the week by sharing organization + design tactics we incorporate to keep our kitchen counters clear, but there are far better things to celebrate and discuss right now 👏🏼

💄 happy national lipstick day, ladies 💄

In honor of today I spent about 10 minutes editing and freshening up my make up collection.

Did you know that lipstick has an expiration from when it was first opened? Google can tell you that it lasts anywhere between 1-2 years, and lip gloss less than that. Yikes. 😳

I like to give it a little smell check. If it doesn’t smell how it did when you purchased it, it’s time to go.

And if you have owned it for a few years now, and you still have it… chances are you don’t love it anymore and better to make space for something you do.

It’s a time for renewal and so many people are ready to rejuvenate and transform the spaces they inhabit. And we’re totally here for it.

Currently working on a wide array of projects. Love the various aspects to this business. The exciting challenges within these spaces, accomplishing things, and working together with our beautiful clients.

Recently had the pleasure of meeting with Kimberly F. Denn Photo to take some photos in our home.

Will start by sharing one of the spaces I always dreamed of having -

ａｎ ａｔｅｌｉｅｒ.

When we were looking for a new house, space for a natural lit workshop was at the top of (my) wish list. Manifestation baby.

So here are three things that make this a practical space.

1. Intentional storage. There are 2 zones for storage in this room and that’s all there will ever be. I designed custom cabinets above my desk to store surplus paper and work materials.
My beloved mason cabinet is perfect for displaying books and other items. Anytime I feel like a storage space is getting too full, I pull out the stuff and reassess.

2. Two separate surfaces to work on. I have a simple desk against the wall when using my computer and then another table to do all the other activities. I greatly enjoy having 2 stations to work and play on. My kids and I work at the center table for art projects and such.

3. A lounge chair! No further explanation necessary

Next up ➡️ our living room! We spend a lot of family time in this place. It has to be a practical one 😅

This wasn’t just straightening up and putting things somewhere else. We spent time finding real homes for the various things that pile up in this area of the kitchen. We labeled these spots and came up with a manageable system to make this space an stress-free zone.

The 𝕕𝕖𝕤𝕜 𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕜𝕚𝕥𝕔𝕙𝕖𝕟 was a real 80s thing. If you have this set up in your space, do you actually sit here? I think this was great in theory but never lived up to its intention.

Here are some tips to make this space from becoming a family dumping ground ⬇️

1️⃣ A system for paper! See the last photo for what we did for this family. Only space for 3 types of papers. The rest either went to the recycling bin or found another place to live 🧾📄

2️⃣ It’s normal for things to rest somewhere for a bit of time, but if all these items have an actual real place to live it should be a breeze to have a 5 minute clean up ⏱️

3️⃣ The whole family should be on board. Everyone should understand where these miscellaneous things belong and maintain that system for the love of each other 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

4️⃣ if no one sits here, consider moving the chair out and placing a nice step stool in the little niche. I’ve got big love for step stools and places to store them. 🪜

5️⃣ can totally rethink this space by making it a beverage center, a smoothie station or a coffee bar - the 80s kitchen desk is your 🦪😆

Setting up nurseries + making space for new family members is one of our fortes.

No need to scramble in the middle of the dark night, we got you covered (for this part at least 😉).

Gandhi’s words are the words I need to hear right now. So comforting to me, that I am resharing them with you. I truly do believe love’s force and the power it has 🤍.

One of the things that’s hard for me with social media is how could I continue on to post about my work and my passions when these world events feel so devastating to me? When I know there’s so much suffering going on, how do I just turn the station and share something to my friends that is SO unrelated to that? And on top of all this - pain and suffering is obviously constantly going on somewhere in the world 🤯

As I process more and more, I will figure out the time that feels right to get back in the saddle here.
Seems that with this thing called life we do just keep going, because there’s really no other way. Here on instagram I am able to feel inspired, share, be in touch and connected with so many wonderful, talented people.

I find some comfort in sharing these mixed thoughts. I continue to pray for those deeply suffering and I will continue to believe in the power of the strongest force in this world.

There’s definitely a lighter feeling around the hood with many of the kids back to school today 🙌🏻😅🙏🏼

3 cheers to that 🎉🎉🎉

In honor of this special day, highlighting a space that we repurposed to help an awesome, busy mom of 3 conquer this upcoming school year.

What we did inside this cabinet:

✏️ relocated the less frequently used items to the kitchen’s very top shelves

✏️ donated the items that she didn’t care for anymore

✏️ repurposed organizational products in her home and gave them a new lease on life.
Sometimes rotating a container can give it a whole new meaning 🪄

✏️ created a one stop shop for all her supplies, Girl Scout goodies and homework helping needs ✨💫

Settling in to my new home this past year has been quite therapeutic for me. When I find the free time, it’s one of the things I enjoy doing the most.

In the original plan, this space was an alcove adjacent to my closet. I knew it was the perfect opportunity for a vanity.

I sketched up a design for my dream “me” space and teamed up with .hic to make it happen. From start to finish they were a total pleasure to work with.

In the future I’ll add wallpaper - if you find the perfect print out there let me know 🤔.
