Z-Ultimate is extremely excited to be presenting our annual Martial Arts Tournament! This is an amazing opportunity for all students and parents to participate and attend our family-friendly event. The tournament is a great way to test students’ skills, compete with other martial artists in different locations, and showcase all that they’ve learned. We hope to see all of you there, whether you're competing or just cheering on your fellow students.

As our So.Cal Grand Championship Tournament quickly approaches, we of Z wanted to provide you with a Competitor Checklist to ensure you can keep your focus and attention on realizing your personal best and maximizing your Tournament Experience!!

As you double check that you have all of your required Sparring Gear, please confirm that it is in good condition and sized appropriately, so you are not competing with gear you have outgrown. Please, no big hands in little gloves!!

For those of you competing in WEAPONS, please be aware and take GREAT CARE of Ocean View High School's beautiful wood floors.

Maintain control of your weapon at all times and please DO NOT STRIKE OR STAB THE FLOOR. If your form requires some contact with the ground, please wrap or add protective caps to your weapon. We do have access to an outdoor area if your Weapon's Form requires excessive ground contact, so please discuss your performance with your Sensei.

You are welcome to practice your Weapon Form OUTSIDE, but please do not practice inside the venue so we can prioritize everyone's SAFETY.

Last Friday morning at approximately 0800, there was a TRAGIC road rage/shooting incident on the 55 Freeway and Chapman Avenue area here in Orange County, CA.

A 6 year old little boy - Aiden Leos, who was strapped in his car seat on the way to school - was shot and killed from behind by a man in the passenger seat of a trailing car.

There is currently a $210,000 reward being offered for ANY INFORMATION on the vehicle or shooter.

PLEASE SHARE with anyone and everyone and let's see if someone has dashcam video, or saw something that can lead to the arrest of these criminals.

There's a difference between sparring in mixed martial arts, kickboxing, boxing and other martial arts vs. self defense.
