Hello everybody, I just want you all to know that Mikes Place will be closed on thanksgiving! I know we are all looking forward to being with family and friends, but I have one wish. As blessed as we all are if you have the opportunity to do a random act of kindness to somebody in need. Please think about doing it. Daily it takes all of us to be part of a vibrant community.

This week’s special is out!! We have Aiden’s Rodeo Chicken Sliders! Aiden threw 3 chicken tenders on top of potato slider buns, with pepper jack, BBQ, pickles, onion rings, and bacon served with crispy French fries!

Something about this picture we received from a couple of our honeymooners John and Sam makes me excited for summer to come back! A huge congrats to the newly weds! Hello everybody I just wanted to let everybody know that we are SOLD OUT of Thanksgiving dinners this year!! What a great response your continued support never let us down! The word in the kitchen is that we are going to be doing a Easter dinner that you can pick up the day before so stay tuned for details in the month before Easter! Thank you again!

Everyone just an update today is Monday and Mikes Place will reopen this afternoon around 3pm and ready for all your dining needs. Thanks for bearing with us. We all know an old building is just an Old building but it is Mike's Place!

Well folks a little update. I guess when you have a 60 year old building your bound to have problems. The way it’s looking Mikes Place will still be closed on Monday. We are working as fast as we can and get someone to fix our problem. I think we had a big step forward today so I’m hoping we see somethings happening tomorrow. The good thing about this we get to do some extra cleaning in our dining rooms. Stay tuned and we will keep you all informed.

A huge thank you today to all of those who have served! From a family of veterans that served in WW2 we really appreciate this day. Every year we do a golf fundraiser with the help of Sunny Hills to raise money for the Freedom Fighters! A organization that provides great hunting and fishing opportunities for those veterans that aren’t able to do it on their own! We are proud to announce we raised just short of $8,000 for them! A huge thank you to everyone who has risked their lives and served for our country! You will never be forgotten! God bless America

Today is election day. It’s a big day at the Kelso Historical House in Brimfield located on State Route 43 today we partnered with the Kelso house by donating all the food and cooking Mike’s Place goodness and we all volunteer our time to help the election day dinner that has been a feature in Brimfield for many more years and I’ve even been there, If you’re looking for a great meal of cream of chicken and biscuits, ham, coleslaw, yams, southern green beans, mashed potatoes, desserts, and all the Fixin‘s, you need to stop by and break biscuits with us and help preserve Brimfield township history. Remember every cent of the money donated for the dinner goes directly back to the historical society This ample and filling meal starts at 4 pm and ends at seven pm! to go is also available!

Local Rock and Roll legend Chaz Madonio of Monoply stopped by Mike’s to drop off more of his books on the Rock and Roll history of Kent and it’s bars. Great book to read and all proceeds are being divided equally between the Kent Historical Society and the Madonio Animal Trust, our family foundation. Great cause!!
