Here's another project we will be collecting for next Tuesday and August 27th. Julie Shott will be taking donations for the John Volken Academy. So, when you are shopping for school supplies, please pick up some Hygiene Items for Men.

Today, we had lots to celebrate at the Rotary Club of Kent! Congratulations to Karen DeBruler and Michael Cole and Jessica Brown! Thank you to all the Backpack Buddies Heroes! Thanks to everyone who attended our club meeting today- we appreciate all you do!

Last night the Rotary Club of Kent held their July Social! It was a beautiful evening for a BBQ potluck at Axel and Angrid Henning’s home. We enjoyed great food, fun, co****le, the lake, paddle boards and a sunset cruise. Thanks to everyone who came. Here’s just a few pictures more will be added in a day or two.

Rotary Club of Kent had a special meeting today! First, Aaron Hazard received his second Paul Harris Fellow. Second, Aaron Hazard was presented to a beautiful quilt by Quilts of Valor Foundation. Third, our speaker James Donaldson our club speaker spoke about Mental Awareness and Su***de Prevention. It was a touching presentation. Thanks to everyone who attended. Our next meeting will be in 2 weeks!

Tonight, Rotary Club of Kent members gathered to celebrate with the Rotary Club of Kent Scholarship recipients! Thank you Kent Community Foundation and all of the donors and organizations funding the 30 scholarships awarded tonight! Tonight over $100.000 in Scholarships were given out. Congratulations to each of the Kent School District Seniors who received scholarships!

Some of the Rotary Club of Kent members attended the Kent Area PTSA Council Founders Day Dinner tonight! The Rotary Club of Kent received the Spirit of Community Award for the Backpack Buddies program! Thanks to everyone who volunteers with the Backpack Buddies Program. You do make a difference!
