Olivia utilizes techniques from Family Systems perspectives, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness to help facilitate growth and acceptance throughout the counseling journey. She plans to further her education in working with families, couples, and the LGBTQ+ community. Some of her favorite ways to practice self-care involve trying new coffee shops with her partner, going to the gym, and thrifting.

Did you know we offer private Reiki sessions?

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique, which loosely translates to "life-force energy". It is given by gently laying hands on an individual or at a distance, as energy is intuitive and flows where it needs to go. This life-force energy can stop flowing in the body if there has been physical or emotional pain. Blockages can lead to physical and mental illnesses, such as depression and anxiety. Reiki works to improve the flow of energy, stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities, and remove blockages, while promoting physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.

What should I expect in a Reiki session?
-Sessions start with a 10-15 minute check-in/consultation on how you’ve been feeling.
-Reiki takes place lying down or in a sitting position.
-You will be fully clothed.
-Based on the practitioner and your preferences, in-person Reiki may include aromatherapy, guided meditation, crystals, and props to get comfortable (bolsters, blankets, etc.). Once you are all settled in, your practitioner will begin by testing your seven chakras.
-Reiki can then be given through gentle touch or at a distance depending on client comfortability.
-You may feel warmth or heat from the practitioner's hands and/or energy pulses gently waving through the body.
-You and your practitioner will have a few moments to chat at the end of session to share insights, information, & questions.

A gentle reminder to take posts on social media with care. We often compare ourselves to the posts or beauty that we see, but what we’re seeing is only part of the story. People tend to show the good parts, not the rough ones. We all curate our online media presence and only show what we want others to see. Sometimes we might feel envious over someone else's Instagram posts or Snapchat stories, but remember that just like you, they might be only showing their good side.
