One of the things I’ve learned since the beginning of this week is “starting over”. I remember giving myself many excuses to why I can’t do many things. But watching others switch careers at 58, 30, etc reminds me I can do anything I set my mind to.

One of my classmates dropped out yesterday(half way gone into the program) because she realized she was in the wrong field. 🤔

I have a 58 years old lady in my class who decided to go back to school because she chose a wrong career when she was younger. This lady is a huge motivation for me. Imagine starting a new life at 58?

Dear Lord! As school resumes tomorrow, we surrender our children and all the teachers to your care. We cover their classrooms, playgrounds, means of transportation and everything that has to do with our kids with the blood of Jesus.

Yesterday at work, this beautiful 18 years old came in with her boyfriend who was almost about the same age.

We did the pregnancy test and it was positive.

When asked what her options were, she chose to PARENT HER baby💃 even though she’s still trying to figure out her own life and living in a state where abor-t-ion is legal.

I personally do not encourage premarital s*x or getting preg this early in life but I like it when women value the little baby growing inside of them.

While praying for this sweet 18years old, I equally pray for every girl or struggling parent out there.

May God in his abundance of riches bless you with everything you need to raise your beautiful baby.🙏

When I was at the University, I had a neighbor that would always beg for a pad every month.

Every month, she would say her period took her unaware and she needs a pad or two before she buys some.

Funny enough, she wasn’t only begging from me. She would beg pads from every girl in the cite until she gets enough for the month.

Looking back now, I’m wondering why the she couldn’t just use some cotton clothes or some towels for her period ?

And I’m also what’s the price of pads now in Cameroon? Then it was 500frs.

Something happened to me in class yesterday.

So we were learning about malaria and while everyone was mystifying the thing, I told them I have had malaria before.

You needed to see the look in everyone face. 😲
Like what?? You’ve had malaria and you’re still alive?

Everyone looked at me like a living legend na😃
I had to let them know we get it almost every month in my paye.

The big question everyone asked me was how I survived malaria?
I told them though.

We cannot help the society by creating more problems instead of finding balance or a way out to existing problems.

We find a way to rubbish marriage when we don't cherish it or get disrespected by married people

Others talk down on school when it doesn't work for them

If you're unhappy with someone for something, do not start exactly the same thing in a bid to fight them

If you do not want people calling baby mamas names, do not call others names just to protect baby mamas.

If you do not want baby mamas being disrespected, do not disrespect others in a bid to protect them.

The opposite of FRIEND is actually not enemy. There are people who aren't your friends but definitely not your enemies

When we continue to sell these wrong narratives, we make the world more inhabitable in the name of defending those we care for.

Yes, the disrespect on baby mamas is uncalled for. The constant poking of the subject is unnecessary as there are SO MANY reasons that got women into that position. Interestingly, some are baby mamas by choice.

Now, if you want to put a stop or reduce this disrespect yet you rather go and start a f.ight with those who do this disrespect, you haven't helped the situation at all.

You have helped to fuel the hate, drawn a bigger line of separation and said "f.ight yourselves to bloodspill"

One main reason baby mamas will celebrate under such a post is because they feel they're one punch ahead. The conversation has turned into a boxing match with success determined by who can throw better jabs

I am strongly of the opinion that opinion leaders should not fuel people carrying seeds of hate neither should we give a working ground for such battles.

We should learn to respect people: baby mamas or not, barren or not, married or not, educated or not etc.

We should learn to educate people when they are wrong instead of trying to get to their emotions because they'll bring gu.ns to a fist fight.

When you try to get back by punching, be ready for the retour because in no way have you helped the situation.

We cannot always blame it on poor comprehension. Sometimes, it poor communication too.

If you respond to anyone by attacking them, be ready for a fight and do not play innocent when it comes.

Let's all do better

Let's stop trolling people because life happened to them

Let's think humanity not just winning arguments.

1. Resist the urge of bringing another woman down. I know most of you do it, to feel powerful and boost yourselves up but don’t do it.

2. There’s a huge difference between saying your truth and being intentionally mean. Say your truth, state your opinion but don’t bring another person down.

3. Don’t wash your dirty linen in public. Keep some part of you, private. It’s for your own safety.

4. Your children will eventually see everything you do on social media. Mine will go to school and search me up. Don’t embarrass your children in the name of wokeness

5. Instead of feeling sad about your situation or letting it turn you to an angry person, let that anger be channelled towards making you better.

6. When I cried to my mom after my first breakup, I was expecting to hear her say ‘he lost something valuable’. Instead, she said ‘don’t let him meet you in the same spot he left you’. Keep working on yourself. Tables turn!

7. It is okay to cry 😭 cry hard, when you are done ✔️ write the lessons from your pain down. You need that lesson to grow. If you don’t learn from that lesson, you’ll cry again.

8. Contrary to what you may think or are going through now, there is greatness in you. Your greatness may not be in money. Your greatness may be in your life experiences. Your life story, lies your greatness. Tell it, inspire the world. When money fades, your name stays.

9. Celebrate your wins even if it feels insignificant or you think others are winning BIGGER, celebrate your wins.

10. Do something everyday for yourself, no matter how little. It may mean taking a walk 🚶‍♀️ or reading a page or a ‘Me’ time.

11. I want this to stick 🦯 learn to sit still in Gods presence. After you pray, fast, cry, just sit still. God loves to speak back. Most times, we pray and walk away but prayer is communication and communication isn’t linear. All you are going through, may just be God desiring your time. Sit still with Him.

I witness this guy give alcohol to his baby. It wasn’t much though but he gave that baby at least 3sips before I left that place because it was so disgusting to watch.

I tried asking him in a “nice way” why his giving alcohol to the baby and his response went like this:

Well, I just reminded him of the effects of what he was doing cuz he for sure knew what he was doing and oga went ahead telling me how “white man” don spoil we with nonsense.

My dear Cameroonians, How true is this? We have malaria vaccine? I was just researching on malaria then I found this.

Here’s what I was taught about boys and s*x when I was a teenager.

1- Boys are bad, like very very bad. You should not have a boyfriend.

2-S*x is a sin and punishable by God.

3-If a boy just touch you, you will get pregnant, drop out of school and your future is destroyed.

4- If a boy stops you on the road just run😃

To sum everything up, I was meant to believe that boys are just some “scary creatures out to destroy my future “.

Did I actually stay away from boys during my teen years?
Could this actually be the reason I never became a teen mom?

Well! The world is rapidly changing and the formula that worked for our parents sure have very little impact on us now.

As Gen-Z parents I think we should also teach our kids PROTECTION.

How do they protect themselves against ‘em boyz?
How do they protect themselves against unplanned pregnancies?
How do they protect themselves against r*pe and any other forms of abuse?

Few years ago, I used to think that chronic illnesses like diabetes, heart diseases, kidney failure, high blood pressure, low blood pressure etc were meant FOR OLD PEOPLE. but the recent years have proved me wrong.

I’ve seen many young people come down with these illnesses and many more.

Please take care of your health. Mind what and how you eat, or drink. And don’t forget your mental health too.
