VAMPS
Vamps empowers! Vamps inspires! Vamps is about Nordic Skiing for women! A cross country ski program for women- ranging from almost beginner to race ready women!
Please think about the Wood River Trails Coalition during this week of Idaho Gives. The trails are beginning to dry out and I bet YOU are getting out there and enjoying them! Let's help the Coalition so we can have sustainable, clean, well drained and even new trails here! Go WRTC! There's a $1,500 match for the first $1,500 given! Cheers, Muffy
Idaho Gives begins TODAY!
Join us for a statewide giving event that launches today and ends May 6th. This year, a generous donor is matching the first $1,500 of funds raised! This means your dollar goes farther when you donate to the WRTC during Idaho Gives.
Go here to have your donation MATCHED: https://www.idahogives.org/organizations/wood-river-trails-coalition
Your support goes directly towards maintaining your trails, building new trails and supporting trail crews and volunteers who work hard to brush back vegetation, clear fallen trees and fix drainage problems.
Thank you for investing in your trails with us!
More Vamps "dryland" pictures! Way to go Ladies and Gents!
Vamps Dryland has begun and now it's "SNOWLAND" but we're still trying to do "DRYLAND!" Hmmm? Here's some pictures from the past 5 weeks!
We closed out the season with our usual enthusiasm, competitiveness, smiles, relays, laughter, costumes, craziness, memories, hugs, tequila, and hijinx! The winter may be winding down, but the friendships keep going strong all year long. We look forward to seeing all you Vamps & Dons out on the mountain bike trails this summer!
The Vamps have done a fantastic job racing in the World Masters in Beitestolen, Norway! 4 races in less than a week, tough competition, impeccable organization, challenging courses and the camaraderie made our trip a huge success! Now, we’re in Lillehammer where Muffy is about to start The Birkebeinerennet- 54 km classic with 4650 feet of climbing! Onward! 👍🇳🇴🇺🇸 Oh, and we made Charley French an honorary Vamp! 🤣
Well, Maybe it's time for the HOT TUB, Vamps!
Vamps showed up in force at the 46th Annual Boulder Mountain Tour last weekend! Whether racing, cheering, or handing out tasty treats and adult libations, we enthusiastically embraced the snowy day and shared our Vamps spirit with the huge Nordic crowds!

Jennifer Busdon knows that if you want the Boulder Mountain Tour registration done right you call on the Vamps for volunteer help! Every racer not only received their swag bag, race bib and timing chip, but also a friendly welcome, wishes for a great race, restaurant suggestions, transportation tips, and a dose of the exuberant energy the Vamps are famous for! :-) We'll see you at registration next year for the 47th Annual BMT!

Erin at Gslena Lodge is running the day to day operations and I am the “social director!” It’s a bit thin out there, but Get on those skinny skis, Vamps, and let’s get this season started! Here’s a few early season skiing shots from Canada! Cheers, Muffy
The Vamps were out in force at today's Harriman Tea to support The BCRD and the marvelous work they do to maintain our beautiful Harriman Trail! You'll find us Vamps out there year-round either skiing, biking, or hiking The Harriman!
It was time to celebrate another incredible year of VAMPS with our annual blow-out party! We thank Erin Zell for stepping up and helping Muffy run our 21st season, the coaches who pushed us to work harder than we ever imagined we could, Judy Cahill for the slideshow and photos, and our fellow Vamps for their constant encouragement and friendship. This year we invited The DONS, Dudes on Nordic Skies, to join in the festivities! Another huge thank you to Erin, Don, and the Galena Lodge and Trails crew for treating us to such a fabulous evening of "Olympic Games", lively libations, endless laughter, and delicious dinner! The Vamps 2017/2018 season may be over but the skiing is still awesome up at Galena!!!! See you up there!
