The Kettering Fairmont Theatre Department is proud to present the Fall Play, Harvey!
Meet Elwood P. Dowd, a polite and friendly man with a very strange best friend—a six-foot, three-and-one-half-inch invisible rabbit named Harvey. Elwood’s sister Veta is concerned the rabbit will interfere with her life as a socialite, so she tries to have Elwood committed at the local sanatorium but is so hysterical when she explains her brother’s condition that she is committed instead. Elwood leaves the sanatorium grounds unbothered, turning the town upside down as everyone goes on the lookout for this mind-mannered hero and his invisible rabbit. Come see this Pulitzer Prize winning work!

Fairmont High School’s Fairmont Players present the annual Children’s Play, The Taming of the Shoe by Desire’ Sobiech on Saturday, April 29 in the FHS Auditorium at 10:00am and 2:00pm.
Everyone knows that Mary Jane’s shop has the best shoes in the land. Even Goldilocks can find a pair that’s just right! Everyone also knows that you never, ever ask about the rags Mary Jane wears on her own feet. Everyone, that is, except her pudding and pie wielding neighbor Georgie, who somehow manages to coax the story from her. Years ago, Mary Jane ran away from the loving father, a cobbler brought to poverty by famine, and she has been cursed ever since. Together with loyal yet outspoken customer Cinderella, Georgie and Mary Jane set out to see the one man — the most powerful in all the land — who may be able to help her: the Godfather. But what Mary Jane doesn’t know is that when she left, her father’s life changed in another way, thanks to a precocious band of elves. Fairytale friends both new and familiar come together in this short play about love, friendship and of course... shoes!
Tickets are available at the door a half hour prior to each show. Adults are $8 and students, children, and senior citizens are $5. Seniors with the Seniors are Special Card are admitted for free.
