The count down is over! Yesterday started the BTC hair show. Yay! It’s wonderful meeting so many stylist from around the world and getting education and product knowledge. Let me tell you there is so much to take in! This year the theme is Alice in Wonderland.

So far I’ve learned about different coloring techniques and the different color lines that we can use to make these happen with. Several different cutting techniques on different types of hair. New hot tools that just came out for us to use on our amazing clients and so much more. The fun is just being in knowledge. I look forward to what’s to come so stay tuned! ❤️

So this sweet lady came to see me and she had no clue what she wanted as a haircut. So I gave her a consultation like I do with every client. After asking tons of questions and seeing selfies I could then give her a haircut. She gave me permission to do anything I wanted. So I decided not to go too short. I also gave her some hair pieces in front since she puts her hair behind her ears. So while I was cutting each section I told her I would let her hair talk to me. At the end she came out to happy and knowledgeable on how to style her new style. I made it to be styled with the hair behind the ears or all going towards the face or to be messy.

So many client’s over the years have asked me in different ways, “What got you into doing hair?” I always explain how I have always loved doing hair since I was a little girl. I enjoyed designing different styles and experimenting with different looks.

Here in this picture: My sweet cousin who was not much younger than me would allow me to play with her hair. My heart always is at its happiest when I get to create art.

Blue black can be tricky so we did a test strip to be sure to get the right color. I decided to use Pravana Direct dye and it worked perfectly for the color we were wanting to achieve.
