It is with great sadness that we share the passing of a very special person, Ruby Hammel. Ruby was not only my Aunt and my mom's sister but a long time camper at Dogwood Acres Family Campground. I remember growing up, Ruby and my mom were always together, usually shopping for the best deals with me and my cousin Gayle. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten by us or your camp family. I want to wish the family & all her friends peace, comfort, and lots of love at this time of sorrow. My heart & prayers go out to the family at this difficult time. RIP Ruby. Godspeed! Terry Hershberger

This Saturday Halloween trick or treat lineup. 3pm at the clubhouse chili and soup cook-off we will be having hot ham and cheese sandwiches to go with it. Then the fun begins with costume contest followed by trick or treat and the haunted lane so don't miss out. Bring all the kids, grand kids and have a great time.

We will be having a fish fry, 50/50 and basket raffle for Mark and Jen at the pavilion Saturday October 14th at 6pm. He had an accident working on a roof and will be off work for a few months.

I would like to shout out to everyone who made the Bigfoot event a success.The kids had an
amazing time playing bigfoot games, hunting for Bigfoot rocks, and eating Homemade pizza. And then watching Harry and the Henderson under the stars with popcorn and hot chocolate..

Thanks again to the Kids Club for making today a huge success for the kids! Thanks Kids Club Volunteer Crew: Cheryl Winters, Debbie Hider, Debbie Fox, Brenda Cantor, Billy Hider, Kevin Winters. If I missed anyone, I apologize and I Thank you as well! Thank you so much for volunteering your time to make the Kids Club so wonderful and what it is today. I remember when Cheryl & I talked about the Idea. Thank you Cheryl for taking it and running with it. It is amazing what can be accomplished with a team. I look back and wish we would have had a Kids Club when I was growing up in the Campground. You all have created something very special. And thank you to all the wonderful campers we have. You are all a big part as well. Thank you for participating in all the fund raisers we have to help support the Kids Club. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all! We do have the best campers in the world here @ Dogwood Acres Family Campground!

On behalf of the Dogwood Acres Family Campground, I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to my maintenance crew for your hard work and dedication to keeping Dogwood Acres Family Campground beautiful for all the campers to enjoy. I deeply appreciate every member of this team for showing their relentless effort in this campground. They are not only my crew, but my friends and family. Thank you all. Thanks to my Brother Darryl, Sister Shelly, Brother Rich & Sister Dawn. I truly don't know what I would do without you all!

Our fantastic Kids Club prepping for the Summer Splash!!! They all have been doing an awesome job creating these special events for the kids. I want to say a special Thank You to them all. I know the kids appreciate them immensely!

Don't forget our Back to School Splash Bash and our ice cream social. Lunch is provided at noon at the pavilion then the water slide opens at 1:00pm. Come all and have a blast..Ice cream social is around 7:00pm.
