Aside from giving back to the community, students on the council learn valuable leadership skills that they can continue to use in their future.
Ms. L. Ramírez led our Student Council this year and we appreciate all the work she put in to have an active Student Council.

The end of the school year is busy and sometimes overwhelming but somewhere in between our teachers find ways to make it fun and memorable for your student.

And today all of our 2nd grade students were treated to a movie! 📽️🍿 When they come home today, ask them about their day and if they enjoyed the movie.

Our Dolphins closed out the week with the 4th & 5th grade dance.

Lots of treats, smiling faces, and dancing!! We appreciate our Student Council for putting this together for our students.

This year, and new to the AR Party, we served snow cones 🍧 during the student’s play time. We also added a face painter (even some of our parents joined in 🙋🏻‍♀️ ) and added a handful of new games such as air hockey, badminton, corn hole and connect four. Second grader Gizzel handmade bracelets to give away at our raffle table.

We received lots of positive feedback and the students had so much fun!

Thank you once again to all parents and staff who helped setup, surpervise, and clean up. We couldn’t have done it without your help!

And this year the PTO is proud to be able to fund an “End of the Year” classroom celebration for every class at Del Rey.

Our goal to reach every student has been possible through our selfless volunteers who help at our events and through the participation of both students and parents with every fundraiser. Your efforts go back to your students in so many ways throughout the school year.

So thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts throughout the school year and to the parents for giving us your time by helping carry out these fundraisers and events!! It truly takes a village!

To wrap up a week of appreciation and to highlight our Teachers, we placed a “cup of coffee” in their inbox on Friday.

Although Teacher Appreciation Week is over, we sincerely appreciate our Teachers everyday.

A few of parents have reached out to ask how they could contribute to Teacher Appreciation Week.

Any type contribution is greatly appreciated.

However, donating snacks such as granola bars, candy, fizzy drinks, coffee pods, tea, or anything that is “grab and go” is very popular among our Teachers.

Please reach out to us if you’d like to donate anything or feel free to drop it by the office with your name (so we know who to thank).

Please consider joining Del Rey PTO as we share the goal to better your local school and improve the quality of children's education as well as extra fun activities and prizes.

Fundraising is one of the biggest ways to contribute towards this goal however this cannot be done without PTO volunteers. Together we organize events, fundraisers, and field trips for our students. If you have ever wanted to create a change in your student’s environment now is your chance because we have ALL PTO positions vacant.

PTO meeting will take place in the Del Rey cafeteria Wednesday from 4:45-5:00.
The Art show that will take place from 5:00pm-5:30pm
Classrooms open from 5:30-6:30pm

Por favor considere unirse al PTO de Del Rey ya que compartimos el objetivo de mejorar su escuela local y mejorar la calidad de la educación de los niños, así como actividades y premios extra divertidos.
La recaudación de fondos es una de las formas más importantes de contribuir a este objetivo; sin embargo, esto no se puede hacer sin los voluntarios del PTO. Juntos organizamos eventos, recaudaciones de fondos y excursiones para nuestros estudiantes. Although this is a teacher led activity, behind the scenes the PTO proudly supports our students via the purchase of their medals and prizes.

Today the PTO treated these students to an extra break and goodies for helping promote the Popcornopolis fundraiser online.

Thank you parents for helping them set up their online access and helping them promote the fundraiser online. You were an important part in helping them earn extra prizes.

Those who did not get a chance to pick up your order today can do so tomorrow in the office. Anything left over will be sent home with your student.

The PTO realizes not every student at Del Rey can participate the various sponsored events throughout the school year. So in an effort to reach every student, today we gave every student a freshly popped bag of popcorn.
