I am not one to blog, but I have had a couple things on my chest.

Talking to some area business owners, the closing of MSSC, recent small business support from organizations like the Downtown Kingsport Association, Downtown Kingsport(FB page), etc. has led to this post.

I hear so many people say how excited they are about new downtown Kingsport businesses. We are excited too, and we want to help grow these businesses so we can see downtown Kingsport flourish.
People see many of these businesses when they are busy, or just opening, and think they are crushing it. In fact many of us are a few bad weekends away from closing. We need ongoing support.

To not inundate everyone with a laundry list of these businesses, I would love to mention one each week with some comments.
Please feel free to comment too, leave a photo, and more importantly visit them this week.
*Even if you had a bad experience, please give them a second chance. These are mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, people from our community trying to recreate a vibrant downtown.

I'm not asking for you to spend all of your hard earned money doing this, but a few bucks spent downtown rather than on Stone drive or in JC will help us all.
