Daylight Candles by Life in the Daylight Studios

Daylight Candles can be made to the customer’s preference. I prepare them and hand pour them but the customer designs the candles by choosing their own combination of scent and color. I also have candles that have meaning to me and have a purpose of helping others.

The brand name comes from the proprietor's life mantra of living life in the daylight, living life through the difficult times and still seeing the light, believing in the good and having faith. It also is a part of her personal brand; a derivative of my name means “daylight” in Arabic. Candles bring light to darkness and when scented they awaken your senses, hopefully to a calming and joyous state of mind, specifically if it's your favorite scent. With these candles, she wants to bring “daylight” to your lives. To do that, the candles are made to order where you as the customer chooses the scent(s) and color, if you want it colored.

The launch of the company comes just in time for commemorating 25 years since she endured the difficult complications of being born with the birth defect Spina Bifida and hydrocephalus. To celebrate the last 25 years of living in the “daylight” without serious complications, the first candle will be called Daylight Celebration and the scent will be Hibiscus Palm oil and colored yellow, a scent that reminds me of joy, happiness and celebration and daylight! A portion of the proceeds of the sale of Daylight Celebration will go to the Kodjoe Family Foundation for Spina Bifida awareness (famous couple known for their roles on the hit show Soul Food, where they met, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker have a daughter, Sophie, who was also born with Spina Bifida. Also in August 2020 the first multiple candle line, Lovely Leo to celebrate three lovely Leos in my life that love candles was released. The candles for the line will be called Ruby Rae scented with Frankincense and Myrrh oil colored red for her mother’s favorite scent and color, whose birthday is August 11th; Brilliant Bri scented with Lavender oil blended with Eucalyptus oil colored purple for her sister-friend and owner of Buttah Me Bri (www.buttahmebri.com) Brianna’s favorite scent blend and color, born July 31 and Amazing Alisha scented with Egyptian Amber and orange for her mother-sister-friend Alisha’s favorite scent and color, born August 20th.

On August 23, 2020, another candle was released in honor and to celebrate the life and legacy of Rashon’s favorite basketball player, Kobe Bryant. The name is Mentality and it is scented with what Rashon researched and found out was the cologne he was known to wear, purple wax and the logo is a design she created to represent his moniker, Black Mamba. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.

From now until November, there will be releases of new candles with purposeful meanings related to Rashon and others. So make sure to come back and see what is new. But you can always order candles made scented with your favorite oil combination and color. If the scent isn't listed just send a message and we will try our best to get our hands on the scented oil of your choice.
