The majority of Americans believe massage is a wonderful thing. Latest polls indicate YOU need one!

This is a comprehensive list, it highlights specific muscles. My favorite is the doorway stretch, check it out if you don't know it already! https://www.glamour.com/story/best-shoulder-stretches
16 Best Shoulder Stretches for Your Tight, Achy Upper Body Do these easy at-home moves for quick relief from the pain caused by your bed-desk.
I found this article to be on point with my philosophy on stretching. i.e); is it functional?
If you follow the links they go to some informative videos, though some are rather advanced.
I especially like the emphasis on contracting opposing muscles to enhance stretch. Something I use in my practice, on and off the table.
If you are interested in fascia, and mind body connection, check them out!

Stretching is not the key to moving better. This is. Moving about isnβt meant to hurt. It takes a bit of work, but thereβs a lot you can do to improve. And it doesnβt matter where youβre starting out, either.
I'm so glad to have a job where people are happy to see me and that was never more true than this week! To be able to care, listen, and touch. Simply give comfort and hopefully a feeling of normalcy and support, felt so good.
Thanks to all, I'm so grateful.
I'm baaaaaaaack!!!
(Massage by someone who looks like this is still better than no massage at all, right?!)
I'm so happy to be re-opening next week.
Rest assured I'll be taking all recommended precautions to provide the safe and comfortable service. Including masks, face shield, ventilation, santizing etc... If you are ready for a massage I hope to see you soon!
Is there a Mama in your life who deserves a massage ASAP??
Maybe YOU are that Mama who's been holding your family together through this crazy time.
I'm booking tentative appointments for June. Give Mama something to look forward to!
Please share! ππππππππ
You know what they say about idle hands!
Since I'm not currently massaging I thought I would start sharing. As we are all a bit starved for human contact these days, it has made me reflect more deeply on the importance of TOUCH.
Touch might be one of our most neglected senses. We all have music that we love and tastes we enjoy, but how often do we stop to nurture our sense of touch?
In my experience, touch can overcome feelings of isolation. When we feel our bodies have betrayed us; touch says "I feel your pain." Pain and illness are isolating.Touch is the most basic way of saying i'm here for you.
Although I can't literally be there for my clients right now, I want you to know, I'm thinking of you and I'll be there when this is all over. By then we may all need a hug and definitely a MASSAGE! π

About me and massage
βIn my work, I focus on trigger points and connective tissue to address both specific and broad areas of restriction and discomfort. I work to bring balance to opposing muscle groups by considering the body as a whole, resulting in decreased pain, ease of movement and improved posture. Every session is tailored to treat your specific needs and accommodate your desired level of pressure and comfort.
βJust as valuables like our homes and cars require regular maintenance, massage serves to maintain the most valuable thing of all - our bodies! The proven health benefits of massage are many, aiding in the treatment of strains, sprains, over-use injuries, orthopedic surgery recovery, auto-immune diseases, constipation, headaches, TMJ, conditions exacerbated by stress, and others.
I invite you to come in for some bodily maintenance and stress relief.
I look forward to helping you feel better soon!
