On March 15, please join us for a special evening of remembrance, as our firefighters, along with West Pittston Fire Dept. members remember the tragic early morning of March 15, 1993 when City Fire Captain John Lombardo and West Pittston firefighter Leonard Insalaco lost their lives while operating at Box 45 on North Main Street in the City’s downtown.

The evening will include a memorial mass at St. John the Evangelist Parish, Pittston on William Street at 6pm, featuring the Wyoming Valley Pipe & Drum Band. After mass, we will solemnly process to the Firefighters’ Memorial on Kennedy Boulevard for a remembrance. A reception will follow immediately after at The Knights on Main Street.

This event is open to the public and all emergency service agencies
