N E W S from :: Area Coffee has been in residence at Brunette Wine Bar for nearly three years. We are grateful for every cup of coffee served, every person that has given us a try, and our community that has championed us into this next phase. As our company evolves, we thank you for following along.

Our residency at Brunette will be coming to a close this coming Labor Day weekend. While we knew this day was inevitable, it is still bittersweet news to share! We will continue to stock our bags around the Hudson Valley for your at-home brewing needs, and you will still be able to start or end your meal with our espresso at Ollie’s Pizza and Eliza Bistro.

A little 🎀 ANNOUNCEMENT 🎀 because this is our summer of change.

Today is our last regularly scheduled Sunday service. With our daughter headed to pre-k in a matter of weeks, Max and I realized we would never get to spend a full day together, and that just doesn’t work for our family.

So here it is! Beginning August 7th, Brunette will be open Wednesday (!) to Saturday, plus Sundays on holiday weekends, and once-a-month Apéro Monday. But really, we can’t wait to host you for hump day drinks and supper!

It’s Jessie’s birthday and you’re all invited!

As the story goes, it was two hours before service on the 4th of July when concocted Brunette’s now iconic “fancy hot dog”. It sold out immediately.

When we took ownership of Brunette, Max and I intentionally kept the hot dog on the menu. Would we be ostracized for making too many changes? If we didn’t serve the trout roe nachos, would people stop coming in? How could we properly honor Tracy and while making Brunette our own?

Four years into this journey, we have finally come to the realization that it’s okay to move forward; that we can’t please everyone; that stagnation is the death of creativity.

So here it is: With the promise of serving it every 4th of July and days we deem special, we bid a fond farewell to Tracy’s snappy, spicy hot dog. Come enjoy one or two this Wednesday through the weekend, while supplies last. 🪽🌭🪽
