5 ways to keep your pet safe during the solar eclipse from Dr. Miller, our Chief Veterinary Officer:
1. Double check that your pet has an ID tag on and microchip them too, if possible!
2. Keep your pets indoors during the eclipse and close any blinds to help prevent them from looking at the sun.
3. Try to keep your pet’s daily routine as normal as possible, and ensure they have a safe, quiet spot to go to.
4. If you see signs of stress, give them reassurance and have calming aids (chews, food topper, etc) on hand.
5. Exercise before the eclipse begins to tucker them out and ensure they’ve had a chance to 💩.
