I had some frozen raspberries that I needed to use up, so made a raspberry compote. Super quick and easy! I eyeballed my measurements, but if I were to give my best estimate, it was around 2 cups raspberries, 1/3 cup sugar (you could add more or less, depending on your taste), and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. I also added a mix of arrowroot flour and water to thicken it up a bit, but that’s totally optional. My inspiration in making this was to dress up some slices of milk and honey toast (made two fresh loaves yesterday!), but I had some leftover in the pan that I spooned over vanilla ice cream. Yum!!! #raspberry #compote #raspberrycompote #vanillaicecream #bread #toast #milkandhoneybread #freshbakedbread #homebaker #homebakery #madewithlove
This is what sourdough starter looks like at its peak activity, bubbly and happy 😁 #sourdough #bread #sourdoughbread #starter #sourdoughstarter #levain #homebaker #homebakery #madewithlove

It was another awesome day at The Bread Shed! I sold out with the exception of three cookies and two toffees. Which is just fine because we’ll enjoy them here at home 😁 Thanks to all who came out! Your support is everything ❤️

Good Saturday morning from the Bread Shed! First four loaves ready for their new homes, only 16 left to go 😁
It was another great day at The Bread Shed yesterday! Though it was a slower, it was another sellout. Thank you all for your continued support!
I just want to thank everyone so much for coming by the Bread Shed and supporting my tiny, ‘lil bakery today. Without you, I’m nothing! I sold out of sourdough and cinnamon rolls within 30 minutes of opening 😳 I won’t be open next week, but I’ll be ready for another go around on the 28th. Again, thank you so, so much!!! ❤️
All set for tomorrow! Will bake the sourdough first thing in the morning. This weeks drama included 16 cookies that ended up in the Cookies That Didn’t Cut It pile. But lucky for you because I’ll be giving them out as samples 😄
First round of baking done!
Finally done with baking today. Tomorrow morning I’ll start baking the sourdough. I knew it would be a learning curve my first time ‘round. And here’s what I learned…quality over quantity. I’ve been so worried that I would have enough for everyone, and at the last minute, decided to make extra of everything. That threw my whole kitchen into utter chaos. All my pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies didn’t turn out and ended up in the trash. And a baking sheet full of pumpkin scones got burnt on the bottom, so they’re keeping the snickerdoodles company. I’ll be doing things much different next week! In the meantime, I made us all a simple vanilla sheet cake to share to celebrate my opening day! See you tomorrow! I’ll be open 1-4 or until I sell out, whichever comes first 😃
