Sobia's Art - Modern Contemporary Artist
In my own world these days….
Painted this abstract set for a dear friend a while back and every time I go visit her I get to see it. It’s a good feeling knowing my friends trust me enough to actually create something personal for their home 😊❤️
Sold~ Apollo 40"x40"
From the time I started selling my artwork, I've always give 10% of the proceeds to charity-mostly for education and orphans in poor countries. In light of the current events in 🇵🇸, the killing of children, parents, grandparents, the overnight orphans with no home, food, clean water, medical supplies or stability, I'll be donating 30% of all my future sale proceeds for the next few months, including from the sale of Apollo.
Where I hope my art brings joy and peace to whoever buys it, I also hope it's sale always includes helping those in need, who have no one to turn to. ♥️ ♥️
Did you know: After the Six-Day War in 1967, the Israeli government banned all public displays of the Palestinian flag and its colors. Any outward show of the flag, from publications to advertisements and even old photographs, could result in imprisonment or worse. Watermelon — with its red, green, black, and white coloring — became a subtle method for Palestinians to display national pride. Even holding a slice of fresh watermelon outside became an act of protest.

Horses have been a symbol of strength and beauty throughout history. Some believe they bring luck and prosperity, others believe they signify wisdom. Whatever it is, they’ve always been special. Napoleon on his horse, Alexander the Great on his, even all the way back to cave paintings, horses have been used in paintings. They have an eternal place next to humans. What is it that makes them so special? Why are humans so inclined towards them?

I’m in a really zen mood these days. Been taking life at a slower pace and trying to absorb all the wonderful beauty around me. I highly recommend it to everyone! 🤍
There's a certain type of moodiness to this painting. It's in the colors, the motion of the horse, the stillness of the landscape and the oncoming dark clouds. What mood does it feel like to you?
Commissioned and hung Issaquah location🤍.
Made this painting to be hung behind the dining table and face out towards the large window that looks out the entrance. The sculpture itself was feeling too heavy so created wings to give him a light feel. Loved how it turned out and just recently got a chance to see it again in person at the client's home. Always love it when that happens!😍
And his girl.
And her…

Mystique aka Misty
Mar 2003 - Jan 28th 2022
Saying goodbye to our wonderful, cute, playful and anti-social cat after 19 years of being a part of our family💔.
You guys might remember her from a post I did a while ago. I talked about how my mom was afraid of cats and I had to sneak Misty into the house back in 2003, until of course one day my mom discovered her and was scared to death! We pushed to keep her and managed to let my mom agree for a few weeks. But eventually my mom's fears made us give her away...only to have my mom start missing her and ask for her back!
The rest is history.
It'll be hard to go back to my parent's place now and not see Misty there anymore. She was almost 20 when she died which is like 100 human years. I like to believe she had a happy healthy life.
We'll always remember you Misty❤️. Be at peace now.
Hold still, my love.
