KAC volunteer (and husband) extraordinaire waxes poetic on giallo as a film art.

KAC is beyond excited to feature the art of the Fine Arts faculty of DigiPen Institute of Technology as our next exhibition! This show will feature the personal work of more than 15 teaching artists spanning a variety of styles and media.

Art at the Intersection runs in the Gallery @ KAC October 11-November 8. Join us for an opening reception on Saturday, October 12 5-8 pm and meet the artists!

In addition to picture-perfect tableaus and the most beautifully filmed gore you'll ever see, KAC will provide free popcorn and wine and soft drinks available for purchase. You are also free to bring your own snacks, chairs, pajamas, well-behaved dogs, etc.

This movie is rated R, so please arrived aged 18+.

Join us Saturday, October 26th 1-4pm and Sunday, October 27th 1-5pm for a heartwarming workshop of art and adoption at our Pet Painting Workshop in partnership with Homeward Pet Adoption Center and taught by nationally renowned figurative and portrait artist and educator Renee Plevy.

Whether you're an aspiring or accomplished artist or just love pets, this is your chance to create a custom portrait of your beloved pet or meet your future furry best friend! Homeward Pet Adoption Center will be providing furry models for the workshop and educating on their mission.

Kirkland Arts Center (KAC) is seeking artists and makers for the 2024 edition of the Holiday Art Market.

The Market is open to all types of makers: if you are a sculptor, painter, ceramist/potter, jeweler, glass worker, fiber artist, paper artist/cardmaker, etc–we want to see what you’ve got! The KAC Holiday Art Market is a wonderful chance for you to showcase your talents to the community.

The Market will run November 23-December 21, with an opening night “Meet the Makers” VIP event on November 22. Participating makers will receive 60% commission on items sold, with 40% going to help KAC thrive and provide a venue and vital services to the Kirkland art community.

Applications for a spot in the Holiday Art Market are due Friday, October 4. Applications received after this date will not be considered. Applications must be submitted via the electronic form linked below. When completing this form, applicants will be asked to submit 5 high resolution images (in .jpeg or .png format) that clearly show the work in its entirety. Images may also be emailed to Jeremy Hurd-McKenney at [email protected]. Selected makers will be notified on Friday, October 11.
