Well, we did it. Caved to the "rustic reclaimed wood farmhouse chic chippnjoannagaines" aesthetic. So here it is.
This is a 2'x4' herringbone pattern coffeetable on a solid steel welded base. The wood is literally reclaimed pallet runners that have plenty of nail holes and uneven thicknesses throughout. WHY would someone make pallets out of solid walnut? Don't ask us, but we're glad they did.
This piece is for sale--$325. Please don't buy it, so we can get back to making midcentury modern stuff instead of this.
Another Thor hammer bottle opener done! This one was customized by local artist Michael Duncan, who woodburned the logo on. Should make one heck of a fantasy football trophy.
Two more heading out the door: walnut and epoxy couch arm table, solid walnut knife block.
98% done with Christmas orders, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Shipping day! If you're wanting something done by Chirstmas, better get it on my plate soon lol.
We are a last minute addition to the Novinger Christmas Craft Fair tomorrow, 11/19. See you there!
New stuff! Matching charcuterie board sets, a sapphire blue epoxy color that we've added for the first time, and a tall boy koozie (patent pending lol).
Set of charc boards has been spoken for already, but the koozie and striped blue board are up for grabs. $40 each.
Red Barn let's go!!
Red Barn is in two days! Come see all the pretty things.
"Can you just make the table TOP for me? I have a set of legs from antique furniture I was restoring once upon a time..."
Yes! We can do that--and it's a really affordable option, actually.
Let us know if you want a custom tabletop of your own.
A big shout to our amazing and talented friend Dane for making us this beautiful knife stand for our knives. We love it and we’ve been getting so many compliments on it. Make sure to check out his page D'arc Horse Woodworking he has amazing woodworking products. He can also customize about anything you like just get in contact with him. Make sure to check him out at the farmers market on Saturdays on the square and he will also have a booth at red barn. Stop by to check out his amazing work! Thank you so much again Dane. ♥️
One of my favorite customer interactions at the Kirksville Farmer's Market of late:
"Hey I like these French rolling pins. Can I pick custom woods? And do you ship?"
Me: "Yes and yes."
"Okay gimme six of them."
Me: "......okay!"
Two new items finished up this week that weren't commissioned, for a change--
Walnut knife block, $45 (knives not included)
Ash side table with welded base, $140.
Let me know if you'd like to purchase these or something like them. Thanks for viewing!
Big news!! This spalted maple desk is now available at the prestigious Gallery 104 in downtown Kirksville, MO! Stop by and give it (and the other amazing pieces of art) a gander.
Today's struggle: drawer slides that don't wanna slide.
Tomorrow's struggle: learning to weld steel legs that will probably want to tip over.
Two more out the door.
More shots from the clientele. Wow!
Smokin.
Love seeing our products put to good use in customers' homes. Thanks for the pictures, Leslie!
