Highland Crest had a "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" lunch / party today. And there was homemade ice cream in the afternoon. What a great way to kick off a long holiday weekend.

What better way to start Labor Day weekend with a “Take me out to the Ballgame” party!

Today our Adminstrator Carol held her official last office day at Highland Crest! We celebrated her last day with a fiesta in her honor with delicious taco salad and lots of laughs!

We celebrated a very special lady this afternoon on her retirement!

Carol, thank you for all your dedication, hard work and love you put into taking care of residents, families, and employees. We are going to miss you and wish you the best! Thank you to everyone that came out!

Happy Birthday Betty!! It was fun celebrating you today. We're so glad your family could join us. Betty choose today's meal of spaghetti, tossed salad and bread stick followed by birthday cake and ice cream.

Residents were happy they got to add an extra bingo day this week. We had visitors from MU who came and played "fall prevention" bingo. Everyone was able to win prizes.

Susan had fun celebrating on her birthday, Sunday. She was especially excited about the flowers she recieved from her family. Her meal choice was fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and chocolate mousse pie.

We were able to enjoy some piano music and a puppy visit on Friday. Thank you Erickson Piano Studio.

Baby Grady got to stop by and see all the residents today!

Diesel came to visit with all of us today (thank you Karmyn). The residents faces lit up when they saw him. Here's just a few.

Thank you to Shekinah Church for coming in and singing for us this afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the music and they are looking forward to seeing them next month.

We had Family Night Fireworks last night which had a fantastic turnout. We served hamburgers/hot dogs, chips and homemade ice cream. Then at dusk we had a fireworks show. We also had a great group of volunteers to pull it all off. Fireworks are in the comments.

We are hosting a fundraiser! The Longest Day is the day with the most light. On the summer solstice Highland Crest and the Arbors hope to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s by raising money to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

We will be serving $10 spaghetti plates that you can eat in or take to go! We will also be hosting a raffle for some awesome gift baskets (pictures to come). Tickets will be sold ahead of time and at the door. Please email [email protected] with any questions or ticket orders.
