Introducing CCI Knoxville's Summer Interns: Lily Maddox, Jared Newcomb, and Kristen Theilmann!

To celebrate their involvement at CCI, here is a little about each of our fantastic interns:

Lily Maddox 💻
Lily Maddox has been an intern for our Marketing team since January 2024. She is a recent graduate from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT) who is planning on continuing her education at UT by pursuing her Master of Science in Advertising this Fall.

Jared Newcomb 💡
Jared Newcomb is another returning intern within the electrical department who has been with CCI since Summer 2023. Jared is a senior at UT majoring in Electrical Engineering.

Kristen Theilmann 🚦
Kristen Theilmann is interning with CCI for the first time and is working alongside our Transportation/Traffic Team. Kristen is a senior at UT majoring in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation and Construction and a minor in Business Administration. She is also participating in an undergraduate research study focused on low-income programs for public transit.

We are stoked to watch these three grow over the next few months and for their bright futures ahead. 🔅

New photos from Rockwood Marina and RV Resort, an amazing destination spot for families. 💡

This marina and resort offers full hook-up RV suites with water, sewer, and electricity as well as restrooms, showers, and a laundry facility.

CCI was honored to complete site design for this project including layout, grading, drainage, and utilities (water, sewer, electric, and gas) for their campground along with all utilities for the marina.
We enjoyed working on this successful project with Blue Ridge Development, LLC. and Merit Construction, Inc.

Some of CCI's Fiber and Electric team are at the 2024 Annual Convention and Showcase. They've had a great week of connecting with clients, meeting new people, and attending various panels and breakouts.

We are thrilled to announce that our environmental team at CCI is partnering with Overton County to conduct an Environmental Site Assessment at the Fairgrounds Site.

This project is a vital step towards ensuring a safe and sustainable future for this community space, and we couldn't be more excited to be a part of it.

CCI is certified to perform confined space entries, allowing us to tackle projects in areas like sewer manholes. Recently, we installed a Teledyne flow meter in the City of Norris to monitor inflow and infiltration rates, aiding in the sewer rehabilitation project. A big shoutout to Kazmier and Associates for their invaluable training and support!

Wesley currently holds his Bachelor's Degree from Montana State University and is in the process of completing his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Old Dominion University. Welsey has three years of experience in water and wastewater treatment and five years of total experience in engineering.

We're thrilled to share some fantastic news for our clients, Villas Student Housing! They've officially broken ground on their new student housing project.

This project boasts two six-story structures with 605 beds. Situated along the beautiful Tennessee Riverfront, directly across from the University of Tennessee, residents will enjoy amazing views and accommodations.

We can't wait for them to open in 2026 and are grateful to be a part of such a great team.
