Last week, we shared Step 1: Onboarding, which is essential to understanding the scope, goals, budget, needs, and wishes of a project.
Now, let’s move on to Step 2: Conceptual Design. This stage involves significant research and planning, well before any purchasing or construction begins. For example, here are some highlights from a 41-page presentation we created for a bathroom project. It includes renderings, floor plans, elevations, inspiration, fixtures, hardware, plumbing, lighting, cabinetry, window treatments, shower curtain material, and tiles. This detailed approach ensures that every element is thoughtfully considered and aligns with the overall vision, long before any demolition or construction starts.

The Hospital Home & BMW Raffle tickets are now on sale! Proceeds from the raffle will support the Norton Children’s Hospital neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), which takes care of around 1,200 newborns every year.
“We’re so excited for the 14th Home & BMW Raffle benefiting Norton Children’s Hospital,” said Lynnie Meyer, R.N., Ed.D., FAHP, CFRE, senior vice president and chief development officer, Norton Healthcare. “The NICU team is dedicated to working with ill and premature newborns from throughout Kentucky and Indiana. By participating in this year’s raffle, the community can directly support the team’s lifesaving work and make a meaningful difference in our community.”
