Happy Sunday Funday! What are you up to today? We are having a relaxing family day and celebrating my bro in law’s 40th birthday 🥳

I may have bribed my boys to let me take pictures of them when I saw the sun setting last night and it was worth it!! This was taken on our property and I was in awe watching the fog roll in as the sun set. Just magical!

Javan and Carolyn had an intimate elopement with their close family in the North Carolina Smoky Mountains and it was absolutely beautiful! Who would guess that meeting on Minecraft 5 years prior would have developed into a deep love and now a loving marriage for the two of them.

These crazy boys of mine, oh how I love them more than anything!!

I bribed my boys to put jeans on and let me take pictures of them on our property yesterday during golden hour. They may have rushed me a bit so they could go back to their tree swing but it was worth it. Here’s a sneak peek, and I’m so looking forward to photographing more on this property!

Senior year is a big deal, and so are senior portraits. Fall and spring are my favorite times to photograph senior sessions.

Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains is just beautiful! Not only is the landscape breathtaking but we also saw 2 black bears on the side of the road on our way in. Exploring this beautiful state is so exciting!

What an honor to be able to capture these beautiful bridal portraits for this newlywed couple! They had just gotten married in Colorado 4 days prior to our session and the bride just wanted to make sure she got those frame worthy pictures in case her wedding day timeline didn’t allow for it on their actual day. Well, mission accomplished and then some!! Seriously, I have so many I want to share with you!! But for now, here’s a sneak peek!

In other news, we have crossed over the Tennessee border and almost at our destination!! 😁 we all are so ready to arrive and unpack and then just relax and not have to be in the car or setup and breakdown the trailer daily. It’s been a long but also quick week of traveling.

Editing this family session while we drive through Oklahoma to our next campground. I sure do miss all my clients already but I also have such an excitement of what’s to come. I have been praying for almost 8 years that God would do something new in our lives and now here we are, on the biggest walk of faith ever!

I’m so glad I could see this girl for her senior portraits before leaving the area! We got the most epic sunset over Folsom lake. I know this girl is going to do great things! Enjoy your senior year, it goes by in the blink of an eye! 💗

I have 4 more sessions left in CA until I come back sometime next year. WOW! Reality has been setting in this week! 🥹🥺

I’m up bright and early this morning for the start of my Christmas Magic sessions with Santa! 🎅 He came down from the North Pole early this year because he didn’t want to miss his visit with all the kids who have been coming to see him every year for the last 9 years.

Evenings at the lake are the best! Especially towards the end of summer when the water is calm.

This sweet family welcomed their precious baby girl into the world and are so in love! And this was my last newborn session in my studio 🥺

I have loved spending the last 14 years documenting this family, from engagement, to wedding, to all their babies, there were some tears shed at the end of their session. But we know this won’t be their last session. I do plan on coming back twice next year and at least once a year after that. 💗

We are swinging into Friday and I don’t even know where the rest of the week went! 😅
