Azura is a sweet and lovable 1-year-old Terrier/American Pitbull mix who thrives on attention, especially head scratches and loves playing fetch, going for walks, and enjoying car rides. Brave and energetic, she adores meeting new people, running, and both indoor and outdoor play. Azura can be left home without a crate and is great around children, but she’s still working on house training. She has no experience with cats but loves playing with other dogs. Azura would be a perfect fit for an active family ready to shower her with love and continue her training journey.

Meet Antonio! Antonio has been known to play rough, and in our playgroups he is described as playful, pushy, and high energy. He tends to pull on the leash quite a bit, however we have started to see some improvement as we work with him while he's been in our care. He loves people and seems to get excited super easily, and he likes to think he's a lap dog. Come and meet Antonio at our Division Street location today!

This is Rocky! He is extremely loving and a fun member to add to your family! He is well behaved and knows his house manners. He loves to play outside, go on car rides, and cuddle with you on the couch! He gets along great with other dogs of all sizes. He is also playful with cats! Rocky enjoys the smells and likes to bring his toys to his human to play fetch. Rocky is having a particularly hard time with his stay in the shelter. If it's not the right time to adopt, Rocky would be a great opportunity to start fostering with Young-Williams! Please adopt or foster Rocky today!

Meet Laszlo! Outside on walkies, Laszlo does well to keep a loose leash for the most part. Laszlo knows "sit" already and takes treats very gently, a very smart young man. He does well to socialize with people, but would request to be the only fur baby in his forever home. Laszlo thinks he is the only dog you'll ever need anyway. Ask to visit with him at Division Street!

Daisy is a gentle and sweet girl who is looking for a forever home to call her own. She is 7 years old, but despite her age, she still has a playful and youthful side. She is great with other dogs but doesn't do well with cats. Daisy is well-behaved, house trained and loves to be around people. She would probably do well in a house with older kids since they would need to know to respect her personal boundaries. She loves toys and rolling on her back trying to catch her own tail. She is working on liking her crate, but when left outside of the crate she just sleeps. Daisy's cute ears make her even more adorable! They add to her charm and character. She is looking for a loving home where she can get lots of belly rubs. If you're looking for a loyal and loving furry friend, Daisy is the dog for you! Daisy is currently in foster care, apply to meet her today!

This is Macadamia! She’s a sweet girl who gets along with everyone. Her foster is going to be gone much of the month of September. She needs a new foster or an adopter to come forward by September 4, or unfortunately, she will have to go back to the shelter. She’s very well behaved, both at home and on a leash. She sleeps most of the day with a smile on her face. She gets along with other dogs. She’d love someone to play with (she’s a senior, so maybe not a puppy). She’s deaf, so she doesn’t respond to commands, but she also doesn’t bark at doorbells or the tv 😝 plus you can call her whatever you want 😝 Please reach out if you can help. We'd love to keep this girl in a home!

This is Supernova! Her outgoing personality is brighter than any star in the sky. She is very affectionate and likes to give hugs. She’s still a puppy, really and is working on her manners, particularly when she is excited. She’s mostly potty trained and really doesn’t like to make a mess of her kennel. She plays well with other dogs, but needs a moderated slow introduction. She would be the perfect addition to an active family. Come meet Supernova today!

Meet Arthur, a sophisticated 6-year-old hound with an air of confidence. This distinguished gentleman has a love for the water that rivals any sailor. He's got a strong personality and prefers to do things his way, but don't let his independent spirit fool you – he enjoys the company of other dogs on his own terms.

Arthur is looking for a special someone who appreciates his unique charm and can provide him with the respect he deserves. Are you ready to share adventures with this one-of-a-kind hound?

It is National Relaxation Day 😌 we want to encourage everyone to get a little extra R&R today. What a better way to do it than by unplugging for about bit, getting some fresh air, and giving your favorite four-legged friend a little extra love and attention. Don’t have a pet to relax with? We’ve got you covered! We have so many adoptable pets at our shelter and if you’re not ready to adopt, that’s okay! These guys could still use some extra love. You can sign up to take them out on a Doggie Day Trip!
