We enjoyed a wonderful day in God’s house this past Sunday hearing the preaching of the Word of God. In the morning service, our co-pastor preached on “Overcoming Disappointment,” a sermon that offered valuable insight into the unfairness of life and the spiritual tools needed for a Christian to protect his spirit. In the evening service, he preached the next sermon “Satan’s Fingerprints” in a new series entitled Trying the Spirits. This series provides discernment for us to be able to navigate the imitations of godly things that the devil uses to ensnare us.

In the morning service, our pastor preached on “The Valley of No Return” in his new series on The Valleys of Life. This sermon highlighted the invisible lines that can be crossed with God that will cause us to face His wrath and the consequences of our actions. In the evening service, our co-pastor concluded his series on Matthew - The King and His Kingdom and preached on “The King in His Glory” which covered the events that took place after the Lord’s resurrection with a special focus on the Great Commission.

This sermon was an excellent look at the many facets of revival and the need for it in our lives. In the evening service, he preached on “The Man Who Set Himself Adrift” that focused on the first mistake of David’s adult life. The first time a Christian faces a crisis, he likely handles it in the wrong fashion. This sermon helped us to learn from David’s mistakes.
