The library serves 8 townships in Howard County including Center, Taylor, Howard, Clay, Ervin, Harrison, Honey Creek, and Monroe.
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at making films? Join us for the 4th Annual 48-Hour Film Contest!
Registration takes place on Friday, August 30 from 7-9 p.m. at Sun King Kokomo. At least one representative from your team must attend that evening to register and receive an info packet. All films must be submitted by Sunday, September 1 at 8 p.m.
The following week, on Friday, September 6, join us at Sun King Kokomo for the screening and awards ceremony from 7-10 p.m. This event is free, and Sun King will have drinks available for purchase.
Want to learn more and meet other interested filmmakers ahead of time? Join us for an info session on Thursday, August 29 at 6 p.m. in the Digital Den.
Please note: KHCPL South is undergoing some renovations outside, affecting the entrance and the driveway in front of the bookdrop.
South is open and ready to welcome you. We'll have signs helping to direct you to the entrance while the work is ongoing.

Our Story
The library serves 8 townships in Howard County including Center, Taylor, Howard, Clay, Ervin, Harrison, Honey Creek, and Monroe. Students who attend Western, Northwestern, Taylor, and Kokomo-Center live in these townships. We have three locations: KHCPL Main, 220 N. Union St., Kokomo, IN 46901, 765.457.3242; KHCPL South, 1755 E. Center Rd., Kokomo, IN 46902, 765.453.4150; and KHCPL Russiaville, 315 Mesa Dr., Russiaville, IN 46979, 765.883.5112. Main and South are open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sundays from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Russiaville’s hours differ in that it is closed on Wednesdays. All locations are closed on Sundays from Memorial Day through Labor Day. We also have two bookmobiles that go to schools, neighborhoods, and other public stops.
